Maybe even a larger entity underwriting some borrowing? As I postulated earlier, it seems to me that we don't need a massive cash injection to really get the ball rolling. Three more wells coming onstream, possibly even Gobi, H2 and one other and our whole future opens up. Wells beyond the first five maybe get paid from income? Looking good in my view.

Having an offer on the table 'under discussion' as the RNS puts it, gives Buck a baseline for approaching the other interested parties. Hopefully they'll counter-offer, then Buck goes back to the first one to get them to up their bid. And so on.

Re the farmout, I don't think it even has to be a huge amount offered to really get us moving, just a quick injection of cash to get a few extra wells onstream would seem to unlock everything as we would then be in a position where new wells are paid for with income generated. Therefore, a more modest deal means we give away less of the asset.

It seems to me the company is well positioned going into 2026 which will clearly be a pivotal year. The farm-out deal is on the table and I've a feeling it will come pretty quickly - any farmee won't want to miss any of the drilling months and nor will Matad. Buck is clearly giving the other interested parties a chance to beat the offer, as one would expect, but I'm sure he'll have made clear that there are deadlines now - the farmee who made the proposal can't be expected to wait forever. It appears the issue with the witholding by PC is coming to a conclusion and we can expect the 850 - 1 million $ backpayment at some point in Q1, plus all production then gets paid in full. Very handy. Sunsteppe is clearly an outfit going places, led by Lula with whom Buck seems to have a good working relationship. This time next year we could be seeing money arriving in big chunks from that direction.

I'm still wondering why Buck arranged the presentation at this time of year. Very unusual. Still, net result is a 20% hike in the sp so maybe he's a zen marketing master on the sly.

Still, the lack of RNS's and updates from the company these last six month has seen the share price rocket. There's a lesson there.

For the record Master, my HL account shows me at 1% profit on my large MATD holding. Anyone who averaged down aggressively when this went sub .8 is probably in profit too, just. So I can say that your assertion that nobody is in profit is factually incorrect. However, I fully empathise with the sentiment informing your comment.
