I think part of the mind virus that is consuming many of you to despise the West (without thinking what ruling by the East would mean), to accept all the crazy theories like Net Zero, DEI, multiple genders, boys being girls and whatever other rubbish you swallow from the Guardian and the BBC, is that you actually think that there will be no response from the West, ever, just because your perception is that your own views and actions have helped weaken it.

As for settling in RMB. China is keen to try and promote itself as a petro-dollar alternative. But all the reasons why investors don't want to hold Chinese currency or assets of course still remain. A dictatorial regime can and will do what it wants to prevent outflow of funds and to seize assets when it fancies.

In a nutshell, that's why Russian Oligarchs buy real estate in the US or London and not in China.

What I see happening is the world splitting between two sides, one led by China and one by the US. The West will seek new sweatshops, maybe in South America, maybe in Africa (though blacks are generally too lazy to work) and China's economy will be strangled in the same way Russia's has been over the Ukraine invasion.

The US has already put foot in Ecuador, they are not going to stand by and watch China take control of South America.

It's as good as secured Drake. The purpose of the 2.4 announcement was the share price was speculating well above the offer. The market didn't know how bad the offer was. 26p had no support, 28 was the best they could extract on a 2.4

Now watch what happens when a bid is made formal, if of course the Chinks have the balls to think something like 33-36p will cut the mustard.

28p was their third attempt in little over a week. They are not kit flying, they are trying to snatch it on the cheap.

It would appear that hardly any of you can understand why getting a formal offer on the table is strategically a very smart move for an exit at premium.

Especially given the endless years waiting for this to play out.

They will table the bid, the question is at what level? To not even offer the 52w high of 32.5p or thereabouts would be a pretty dismal attempt.

They will be full aware there needs to be a premium to that high and the 2.4 that Solgold put out will have been because they knew the share price was getting away from the actual offer on rumour.

And why wouldn't rumour expect a significant premium given the NAV of the offering?

I predict they come in at 33-36p with their formal offer. I further predict it will not win.
