There are real cracks appearing in AI, it appears that too much trust has been placed in it, and it is too often far wrong.
In fact one of the most common current Google searches is "How do I turn off Co-Pilot"
The AI melt-up is strikingly similar to the Y2K nonsense except this time it's on steroids. I forget the exact percentage but I think it's around 50% of the S&P is made up of the mag 7 tech stocks. The potential for a monumental crash on overhyped stock valuations is all too clear.
LLMs are still very immature, almost as immature as the people who have programmed AI systems. I predict the whole technology will mature and find its relevant niches in the economy but companies will be wary of it and revert back to using people not AI to solve business problems.
What is undeniable is the race for processing power, and that needs reliable always-on energy. Not solar, not wind. Coal, gas, oil and nuclear
We will definitely see the final death of Net Zero in 2026 and the fascists will concentrate more on digital imprisonment.
