......This rise will keep its legs for a while yet.
Talk of 300% would be a good starting point (& having consistently bought in, my initial £24k loss (from an average of c1.2p) is now almost, almost in profit). Never told my wife about the top ups, as was, and still is (IMO) a pure punt, but one that looks as though it may pay off.
Having said that, if the BOD etc are finally accepting that questions will be asked of them via Legal entities, not just by PIs, then is there the chance that COPL will actually recover back to previous levels ?
Very very slim, but yes, IMO, that chance may be there.
Finally, genuine good luck to all holders, and sincerely hope that this comes good.
Cheers
Either they have absolutely nothing better to do.......
OR
There're games afoot..........
Me thinks the latter.

Ditto here
"only" c£22k down, with a stupidly low average (well it was a couple of weeks ago !!!).
If taken any further, please post so we know how to climb on board.

PS - the fat lady aint sunk yet ....
Their website would appear to indicate "extensive" "expertise" in the O&G market.
Basically, controlled administration.
Great for the Company "owners"(not so great for the other "owners", us poor PIs).
Last company administration I ran, owner walked away with 100% of the co assets, zero liabilities, accy fees of c£35k, debt written off of c£1.3m (95% crown debt).
I refuse to sell out at this size loss, will stick to the end & see.
Just hope to god I'm right in doing so.

Oh yeah, PS - happy effing new year !!!!
Sorry you crystalised such a large loss, and your lady wife sounds lovely (& very understanding).
The love from a partner, and both your health are the most important things when all's said and done.
Wishing you and yours a Merry (& more restful, now that the deed is done) Christmas.
Very best wishes

really ????
sure as **** hope so, but really ???!!!
cheers
Just how low do you want this to go before you buy in ?
Guessing that approximately 99% of people here are under water , some for a very large amount of money.
Out of interest do you actually take pleasure in other people's misery ?
Cheers
It's fraud - simple as that.
Call me naive, but I still think there is something else going on - just don't know what.
Will wait this one out, as the losses I'd make by selling, even at my very low average, are still less than the "possible" uplift in sp if I'm proved correct.
Emphasis on the word "possible".
Just hope I'm right, and that most on here are wrong.
Cheers
The honest answer is that it would totally depend upon the final sums realised once all / any assets sold and all and every liability met.
Saying zero is incorrect (unless you know this to be a fact);
Likewise saying 1p or whatever is similarly incorrect.

Good post Silversprings.
Nobody (on here anyway) actually knows the reasons why, and the plan going forward (if indeed there is one).
Cheers
absolutely no idea at the moment which way this will go.
bought another 500k yesterday afternoon, brings my average down to a natts over 1.2p / share.
now holding 2m.
as i said to the lady wife, if we're going to lose c£20k, might as well lose £21.5k - just have a feeling (based on nothing, other than c30 years of investing) that it sure as **** aint over yet.
genuinely sorry for all lths with a higher average (know some are in their 30s & upwards) - but took the "opportunity" to average down to such a "low" level that might actually (emphasis on "might") be able to scrape something from this.
still far too many unanswered questions, initial one must be who actually "owns" the assets , not the right to extract, but actual ownership ?
if the "only" issue is short term debt financing, given the asset level, and "possible" increase in production, would have thought that funding should be available, at what level / terms is anybody's guess at the moment.
apologies for disjointed ramblings, but still need more caffeine.
finally, and genuinely, good luck all.
cheers
HL :-
Sell :0.738
Buy : 0.735
Drop over done, but sentiment has crashed, so iis / BHs having a field day.
Nee to wait until the dust settles and see where we are then.

Agree.
My HL account is maxed this year, so opened one for my lady wife last night and "She's" just bought 500k shares. Nothing has changed with COPL other than the JV talks ceasing, the terms and reason we know / knew nothing about.

Yes I do.
BUT, were it a choice of 5p OR potentially much more bond equity finance, the BoD may feel they have little choice other than to recommend such an offer.
As always, just my personal opinion, and would be delighted (& a hell of a lot richer) if any offer is nearer what I consider to be fair market value (which would be a minimum of 50p +), just don't think it will be.
Cheers
Agree re suspension & TO offer.
Unfortunately I think any offer will be a very low ball one.
5p comes to mind - which would be catastrophic for many on here - some would do very well at that level, most wouldn't.
Could be wrong, and could prove to be a hostile TO under those rules - better for many more holders.
Think we'll know potentially this year.

There IS oil in the ground;
It is being extracted;
Systems in place / being put in place to increase BOPD;
Carbon Capture is one of the current "must haves".
Unless you believe that everything we've been told concerning the above is a total fabrication.
I don't.
For sure, JV won't happen at the moment (with the firm they were in discussions with) - were they the only oily interested - Erm, me thinks not.
Buy out or another JV - you take your pick, but I firmly believe that one of these two options will play out.
Hence I topped up yesterday another 400k - thought I'd genuinely picked the bottom - wrong on that I admit.
See where we are in 3 months time.
Anyway, best to all.
Cheers
In my opinion, to give any LTHs a realistic chance of getting out with something.
No reason given for JV ceasing - but then no reason needed.
T/O "could / might happen (possibly)" - will see if the assets we think are there, are appealing enough to any potential suitor.
I'm very lucky (if you can call it that) that my average is only 2.42p, but still a tad sipped off....
See you all next year.

There was a share consolidation back in September 2021 (if memory serves).
There has been no reference to another one since.
