I think the location of Clogau and access to it makes for a very different mining plan to scotgold .

We mined a load of ore that was supposed to be gold rich but turned out to be barren rock, creditors lost confidence and called in loans rather than lending more. It all seemed a bit dodgy at the time, over ten years in the making only to pack up one year into mining. I suspect it’ll rise again in private hands.

They are sint trades, its a firm dealing on its own account so not ordinary trades as such. Its worth looking up to get a full explanation.

I disagree with the notion that locals won’t want the mine to reopen, Bontddu used to be a thriving little village with a very busy pub, garage, craft shops etc but these have all gone. New business by the village could be exactly what they want.

I think the whole point was that it hasn’t been previously explored for lithium but is in an area where it’s nearby. I’m all for it as long as it adds value and we don’t do a Thor and change our name to alba energy! Of course if it turns out to be a dud gf may find himself stuck on a very sticky bun!
