You all recall the debate about origin packaging and the 116m order for saline tunes and funnels.
Well, here is a new theory.
Was checking if Perdita (mass spectrometry chief) has said anymore about BAMs.
Had a look through her followers.
The British Mass Spectrometry society follows her (nothing odd there).
However, it turns out the BMS also follow Origin Pharma....
Remember them? The tiny Yorkshire company who landed the 116m contact for funnels and saline tubes.
How why on earth would the British mass spectrometry society follow origins Pharma on twitter...?
At the time I couldn’t figure out why the bid just mentioned mass testing and not LFTs.

I think it is because it does not relate to the LFT but rather to BAMs.
A question for the most technical advanced on here... does mass spectrometry use saline?
If so, the funnels and saline pots may well relate to mass testing via BAMs and not lateral flow....
If so... that 15% capacity gaps works out at over 700m funnels for BAMs tests and not the LFT.
Food for thought...
It really is time to get at least the BAMs test out.
I am sick to my high teeth of reading posts about curtains.
Get BAMs out. Rerate the sp to £3+ and then I’m happy to wait til jan for LFT gains.
It is getting quite tiresome.
Many thanks.
STAY TUNED: In an unusual overnight trail of the week ahead, Downing Street signaled we can expect a slew of policy announcements over the coming days and weeks, as Johnson tries to reassert control over his government’s narrative. “With the spending review on the horizon, the prime minister and chancellor will be making major decisions in the days ahead,” No. 10 teased last night. We’re likely to get announcements on COVID, education, skills and jobs.
....
So what’s the big covid (policy) announcement they are planning....?
We know it’s in multiple locations and ‘close’
We have seen the pipettes on twitter
We know there is commercial interest
I’d like to see an update on this by end of week, which feels about right time wise
Pretty sure the innova tubes do not contain saline....

Note temperature storage for solution. Ergo, not pure saline.
Therefore these aren’t for innova and they are huge in number.
Ducks.
Which begs the question why can’t it take a shed load of the demand....
Highly sensitive/specific, cheap, machines exist.... and much quicker than pcr.... it’s better, no?
Why it has take this long I won’t even go into but it’s surely a bigger positive than the sp suggest
