Q21: Can you present a timescale (approx.); for future milestones in proceeding to the completion of the various Coronavirus Testing products that are in the pipeline?

We have several significant milestones ahead of us specific to the development of our COVID-19 testing and research products. Any product development process can have delays caused by multiple factors including scientific challenges and external third party failings that are outside the control of Avacta. The Company has set out the key development milestones and stated that it will update the market as these are hit, rather than provide a timeline which may change. For the LFD, these key milestones are: completing the technology transfer with BBI and starting the production of the first pilot batch; clinical validation; CE marking for professional use and product launch; CE marking for self-testing and product launch.

Additionally, the Company will update the market as further commercial and manufacturing partnerships are put in place. Following successful clinical validation, it will be possible to provide shareholders with a timeline to revenue with a sensible degree of confidence. For the BAMS assay, the key milestones are: initial clinical evaluation data; full clinical validation; CE marking for professional use and product launch. The Company’s strategy is to secure a large global partner to produce and distribute the BAMS test but it is also putting in place the capability to supply directly in the UK and Europe. The Company stated in the interim presentation that good progress has been made in this regard

Q20: Have Avacta completed their work to increase capacity of their protein lab?

This was covered in the presentation – Alastair informed attendees that this was in process and we hoped it would be completed by the end of November.

Q16: What revenue would you anticipate from the COVID related Affimer applications you are bringing to market?

We anticipate, potentially very significant income from the COVID-19 tests in development. However, at this stage it is too early to provide reliable financial forecasts and targets. We will provide such forecasts when we can do so with a sensible degree of confidence.

Q12: Have you been approached by Governments other than the UK regarding supply of the rapid antigen test?

Avacta regards all discussions with authorities, healthcare providers and other third parties as strictly confidential. Our main focus at the present time, given the scale of the demand, is the UK.

Q11: Please could you give a full update on where the company and CONDOR are at with both the BAMS test and LFD? Timelines thus far have been very woolly and non-specific, which whilst I understand to a degree, is very and increasingly frustrating for investors who were expecting a summer launch. BAMS in particular seems to have dropped off the face of the earth since the July RNS update. Could you also confirm whether Avacta are under NDA from UK government with regard to price sensitive information such as LFT performance data?

Avacta is working with UK government programmes, as well as having now also put in place its own clinical and commercial collaborations, to evaluate and clinically validate the high throughput COVID-19 bead-assisted mass spectrometry (BAMS) laboratory assay developed with Adeptrix for CE marking as a professional use diagnostic test. The Company is aiming to have completed its initial clinical evaluation in the next few weeks and will then update shareholders on the timeline and route to market for the test in as much detail as commercial confidentiality will allow. The Company has also stated that it will provide the next update to the market on the lateral flow test, including a timeline to clinical validation and CE marking, when the first pilot batch goes into production.

2) the mass spectrometry society following origin Pharma (they are tiny) feels very odd to me.

I’m relaxed about the product. I am incandescent sloppy promises and poor comms have led the sp to half. Releasing a ‘reassuring statement’ the day AFTER first vaccine news was the most schoolboy error to date. Inexcusable.

Refer back to tweet last week suggests this is imminent and progress has been very good. There is no reason to doubt him, aside from the various miss targets over the past six months.

He has the benefit of the doubt for now, but time is ticking.

I genuinely think if this company is to make it onto the NASDAQ, then it needs to develop or at least invest in some decent comms. They are beyond woeful.

Alastair is either very calm for good reason (I.e. Govn has signed on dotted line) and he doesn’t care where the share goes in short term....OR

He is the biggest crook on aim.

I think he is the former. He is a world away from other shady aim company ceo types.
