Ahfam used to say "nothing goes up in a straight line" but with SAR most other AIM stock it probably will. The deal is the deal is the deal and the market cap will reflect what the monitary value of the deal is. The tricky bit for SAR is getting to the signing of the deal.
Another GUi sabotage. My post should have said.
I'm curious about why you didnt think this would happen, krusty? Not just you, all the others too. We were given a heads up with other companies names given. It was easy to validate the information. The RNS even states that if funding can't be drawn down, then other funding will be needed. I did say a couple of weeks ago, what is the SP level that will break the most ardent LTH. We're probably not far off now. There are still some who will double down and say the negative posters are not invested and have their own agenda, I've had it leveled at me a few times.
The good news, if you can call it hood news is we have enough cash to see 1a completed and plan 1b. Data from 1a should be enough to secure funding for 1b but might have to accept a heavy dillution.

Laz, we're only funded through 1b if the share price average allows enough drawdown. I don't know how much a 1b trial on 24 patients costs but that's the amount we need plus running costs. Mathprof posted yesterday that currently we can only drawdown £900k. Is that enough, i don't know.
Morning Kool. I agree with you. In all my time with SAR, we've never been as close to the edge as we are now. However, 1a MAD, if good and a high dosage is tolerated will Indicate where 1801 is compared to the competition. A higher tolerated dose, might be enough to secure funding from elsewhere but any funding at this SP is going to be a hefty dillution. We're in the edge and we will stay on the edge for a while but there is everything to play for.
Fanti. Generally, a biotech wouldnt give this sort of update mid trial. I think Sareum have released it for a couple of ressons. One to try and stop the downward trend to indicate confidence that it's probably worth holding your shares. The other reason might be to generate some volume and increase in sp for the 15 x multiple to the 10 and 20 day average clause. Which I think allows us to borrow more based on the average share price. We need a few days of blue to push that figure up. I'm certain all this would have been run past our Nomad and they obviously said yes, go for it.
I will keep buying anything under a £1. Will only be using funds I can afford to lose though. Might not be what others want but as long as 1b is funded im comfortable at these levels until 1b data is in. Allows to buy more each month.
It's a mixture of things, cobalt. Today's news was just SAD so we await MAD completion then the review then funding, then trial application. IMO. We need all that before May ends or they won't have enough time to recruit and complete 1b before the end of 2024.
Todays news is big, the compound is safe and tolerated.
MAD will provide data on how high they can go with the dosing. If higher than the competitors, game on and if 2b shows a, robust immune response, we are back in the £5 territory, IMO. if this had come in other times, it woukd easily have seen the sp double easy. But not long to wait for the other crucial pieces.

Yes, will need to complete MAD in March/April to allow time for data review then get approval for p1b in time to complete that by the end of the year. It's a simplified view, notwithstanding financing, but a few hoops to jump through. All doable.
Reading the RNS again. It highlighted what I thought would happen but I think the board have been more granular in their thinking. I thought an RNS for 1a completely with caveats in there but they've gone SAD only, which means we could get a MAD completion RNS in a few weeks. The timing of which could be worked out by looking at the timing of when SAD/MAD started. Might be one for HBD this one.
I've never taken part in a placing with sar and wouldn't now. Main reason is the SP always goes lower the the placing price, ususlly on the day the RNS is released. That's why I'm not a SAR investor. I own part of the company but my shares and money don't go to the upkeep of the company. My worry with a placing is the discount would be massive, 30p? and at that price the dillution would be 5 million extra shares for just £2.5 million. It could be worth it in the long run but we have the option of upto £1.7 million and more with the financing we have now.
There is obviously quite a lot we don't know and the RF drawdown, if it is the £1.4 million could well be as bad as we think. So, I'm thinking there will be a lot of anxiety over in Pampisford. I'd struggle to feel empathy for them though. When asked a direct question about placings, Tim, famously, once said, he would never miss an opportunity to raise cash when the going was good. I think they took their eye off the ball. It isn't hindsight, they knew this day would come. I think cash from 737 was plan A and it didn't happen but by then the market and options for funding had changed and it was too for all but the really desperate options.
For all we know, they might still be hoping (or knowing) that 737 will fund p1b. As Hot says, p1a shouldn't be far off completion. Maybe March? I think we will get a RNS stating the trial has finished but the data needs to be reviewed by the safety board. And we know that you can't spin up a trial without proof that funding is in place. We are just about in the most critical stage in Sareum's history. Get over it, and I think we sail into phase 2 with no issues. I dont want to contemplate the flip side of this coin.
Reality, the RNS states 1b to complete in 2024. We will get a RNS stating completion but not a chance we will get the data readout in 2024, minimum 3ontgs IMO.. If a licence hasn't been done by then and nothing from 737. We'll probably have to draw down the final million from Riverfort, just to keep the lights on until the data has been reviewed. I'm am expecting a phase 1a complete RNS at some point soon. And it will stated that the data is being reviewed andctrislsxwill start recruiting in April/may with a june/July start.
I wouldn't encourage anyone to follow my strategy, Laz. I am buying in small amounts as the price falls but it is very risky. There is an elephant in the room that is the RF drawdown. It is due anytime and reading the RNS, im not sure if it can be deferred or not. I will buy more at the end of this month though.
I've weaned myself off this board so I only pop in for look when having a cuppa. I hardly ever look over the weekend so miss whole conversations. I don't do any research on SAR, zero. I never plan my posts, they are usually written quickly and the god awful Gui on this site makes it almost impossible to go back and edit, at least on my phone. I have nothing of value to add to the conversation but I do get triggered when valid posts, that are valuable to all of us are labled as being written from someone with an agenda.
I'm backing the board with my buying but if they miss the latest deadlines of 1b competition in 2024 then something has to be done. Until then it's business as usual.
Hot, I'm in the middle of a house refurb. Using lots of different trades. It's a nightmare. I spoke to a plasterer working across the road just last week. He did me a bit of patching on my new wood burner install. Anyway, I told him my kitchen and dining room is next and he's booked up until September, said he couldn't keep up with will all the enquiries. If anyone has got kids about to leave school, tell them to learn a trade.
