Not sure what the size of the Veterinary diagnostics market is currently? reports on google suggest that the global veterinary diagnostics market size was estimated at USD 4.86 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach USD 5.36 billion in 2020.

Certainly no reason why Q16 couldn't have assays developed to pick up a whole range of tests in this sector including Bovine and Poultry. Either that our acquire a player in this field and expand the services further. Without doubt its another string to their bow.

Now Novacyt have the financial clout to expand, no reason why they can't launch a specific division attacking this sector also, makes sense especially if the plan is to become a multi sector global diagnostics player.

Its interesting isn't it, accurate testing in this setting is vital.

The right deal at the right price would likely be backed by shareholders. This is why its worth watching the activity of funds especially if they are adding because IF an acquisition was inbound securing the support of the funds would help secure enough votes to get a deal over the line.

IF for example Blackrock had a potential interested party they would keep acquiring shares at the lowest possible price knowing that they will soon be able to sell them at premium. The lower the SP the more profit they can make but ultimately a move will be made.

On the face of it, it looks like what we are seeing here is an extended phase of shares moving from retail hands to II. What's the betting we see a T1 before the end of this week confirming a further increase in Blackrock's holding? - this is what's expected.

Finally, its worth noting that Blackrock, Fidelity and Vanguard were at the centre of recent acquisition deal in this sector. Could be total coincidence but the same three are active here.

I think we are expecting a T1 tomorrow late from Black Rock confirming an increase to just over 5%. If they keep adding, then it could well be for a client??

With the amount of consolidation going on in this sector a bid has to be highly likely??

The situation with the cleaner is all too common
As some may know here, I lost my BIL recently to Covid it was a rapid declined. Two days before going in, he had a negative LFT hence i have real life experience of how evil these tests are.
A negative LFT result is not an endorsement that you are clear of the virus and despite the government trying to state this at a recent nation talk, the reality is that a high percentage of the population and VERY much the case with teenagers will take a negative result as an endorsement they are safe. Its a common situation.

I fear that unfortunately the government are doing exactly the same thing and expecting a different result - utter madness

I will give it two weeks max before the entire school LFT scheme falls apart.
Put simply:-
1. Once children/ parents are in control of the tests either i) They wont swob properly (little jimmy doesn't like it, no mummy..no swobs) parent will give in and just send it back regardless hence false result. ii) as its voluntary and too much hassle they won't bother returning them and take up rates will be low.
2. They will pick up so few cases. Whilst at the same time schools will be sending pupils home due to outbreaks.
3. Teachers, parents and unions will kick off big style and the scheme will be scrapped.

We had results from moonshot, if anything tests on children will deliver a lower success rate. They are poor tests anyhow. so its a total waste of time.

Not a fan of the French but PCR Saliva tests are probably the only test worth doing with school children imo. I think the French called it right. we should do the same.

I understand that a TR-1 on aim is set at every 1% over 3%.
Not sure if it needs to be immediate especially if they are still adding but would suspect within 24 hours is reasonable.

The last Black Rock fund change notification was at 5.30 the following day:-
"....announces that it was notified on 26 January 2021 that, as at 25 January 2021 BlackRock Inc.'s holding in the Company on a voting and capital basis is 3.02% (2,132,372 shares)"

You are a great researcher, invest time in the great research you do that can add shareholder value.

Its a really encouraging sign to see the continued interest of IIs in this stock.

The funds would not be buying if they didn't think they could secure a good ROI. I wouldn't be surprised if further additions are made this week, specifically Black rock.

This is my one and only post on this subject.

I do not want this board distracted by off topic posts as it puts off visitors and we all know the stock is affected by sentiment. But it would be good for a line to drawn under this.

Not sure what I did to trigger your posts, I can only apologise if I have in some way offended you personally. I am sorry @VanV if I have.

Also, With the Launch of CE Mark COVID-HT Direct , the next generation high-throughput PCR test in the Labs our PCR Testing Capacity will be increased further.

When we look at the Tier One results we can see that we already have unused capacity. So it makes sense that as the vaccine numbers increase and cases fall that we use up that PCR capacity.

It would probably be cheaper and more effective to switch to Saliva and use the free PCR capacity in the Lighthouse Labs to process it. More accurate results every time and higher take up rates delivering better control.

It would not surprise me in the slightest if within a couple of weeks of our schools reopening and teachers reporting low voluntary take up of tests coupled with student groups being sent home due to outbreaks that they switch to Saliva Tests.
