That proposed offer would not get my vote. Our historical share price shows where we could recover to without being sold.

With the market knowing that there has been interest from two parties and the subsequent move to today’s price then I would expect an initial offer of no more than £18.00. Would love to think it would be higher but why would anybody pay a 400% premium to the price only two weeks ago.

Pre market in France shows a substantial uplift on Fridays closing price. Let us hope it continues throughout the day!

Although I am not expecting any great surprises in regard to revenues and profits I am concerned that with the run up of the share price [apart from yesterday) that we have built in good results and that upside is fairly limited. Of course if blockbuster numbers are reported or we are considered a target then all bets are off.

Well it appears our friend in France seems to be of same opinion as most of us here That it will take news etc. as was outlined to make this share move upwards. Otherwise it is just waiting for next results with large amounts of cash being generated.
As for the Brits to buy more, I am tapped out for further purchases.

My estimate is 21.2 for close with higher prices showing during the trading day. Would love to give a more optimistic forecast but recent positive updates have not had the desired effect on SP.

Very frustrating to see the share price in France down 4.5% today. Presumably this will continue to languish until some good news hits the wires!

I view the drop in share price following the RNS as exactly what we expected with no increase in firmed up gold or copper numbers. If any of you have interest in pharma stocks you will see the same downward movement when an RNS comes out stating that all on track for a new medicine but no approval to produce the goods.
I have a substantial holding by my standards and will continue to hold awaiting the RNS with either uplift in numbers at Hav or or good news on other drilling prospects.

Further to my earlier comment about market capitalisation being exceeded by cash on hand. How much risk would there be in buying out a company in that situation. It would be buying the company with ongoing money making contracts, licence protection, production facilities and first class staff for the price of the premium you would pay over the existing share price at the time.
A no brainier in my book!

With the falling share comes the reduction in company market capital. Now standing at £284m, how long even with reduced revenue streams will it be before we have cash on hand that matches or surpasses that sum. If that is the case then all the licences and facilities etc are being attributed zero value. With that in mind , longer term this must be an excellent buy!

Further to my earlier message, copper up 3.3% just today on HKG market. Very close now to all time highs. Combination of U.S. infrastructure plans and Chinese stockpiling I think.

See the price of copper taking off again. As we have gold equivalent value in copper within our HAV numbers this should be a another positive!

So presently nobody singularly holds a short position of 0.5% of stock or more. Could be a number of parties in concert holding a reasonable percentage, but looks unlikely to be that substantial.

I am sure that we are all very concerned about the fall in share price. All manner of conspiracy theories abound but the simple reality is that whilst the mms can find willing sellers at under 20p and mark it up to sell on at a half pence margin or more this will remain in a tight range.
Hopefully they will run out of sellers soon or good news comes in on the drilling front.
Just holding now with fingers crossed as this is by far my biggest investment.

Hi Bamps, thank you for the explanation as to the calculation used by Newcrest. If the prices of both gold and copper continue on an upward trend hopefully that would be noted on the next broker note when valuing our portion of the resource.
