Give me strength, two weeks on and a very positive(imo) RNS and a few previous gungho investors have all gone a bit negative and for what reason-a stagnant SP........well sorry but until we get some news that is prob how it will remain. as for value in the long run who knows, certainly us PI's though whilst no harm in speculating, that can only be all that it is. sweeping statements like i can't see a buyer paying this or doing that is just an opinion based on which side of bed you got out of.
As for why don't Shell pay 23p now, well that is plain silly as unless someone offers them a substantial slug at 23p there is no way they could get purchase that amount in the retail market without alerting tha market. Even if they bought in 50 share lots-silly boy-in the end it's the volume that counts.

imv sellers for all sorts of reasons. Those you pointed out plus end of tax year looming some crystalising losses or utilising CGT allowance against profits and yes a lot of peeps bought between 13-15p so some nice gains. i reality volume way to low for any meaningful reason for people selling but everyone has there reasons.Personally I needed some cash to pay some bills and switch some money into daughters unused ISA's so on one day last week I was a seller of 160k but 2 days later when funds allowed i reinstated my personal position by taking out a leveraged bet with IG so two things to take out of that is I am still confident as dont like trading IG as an "investment" and 2 on the day I sold 160k people could easily have been saying....why's that muppet selling or does he know something,,,,,,,,

Yogurt, yup six years to early but doubled my money in two days at the beginning (.004p to .008) and took some profit! But agreed 6 years too early for this asset though despite times of near company failure have hung on to my original stake which means along with aggressive trading over the years have ended up with a seven figure holding at now zero cost. So yes 6 years too early but those years have been well spent-excuse the pun.

I am not an accountant but believe that if we go the contingency route with future payments , they will be treated as dividends and unless sheltered taxed accordingly depending on each's personal circumstances. This is why after 10 years I prefer an outright sale especially as if we hand operations over to a new entity we no longer have control over timeframes and could be waiting years for future payments....I stand to be corrected by SO etc.

PNE79 I also understand where you are coming from TE11 but I am also on record,long before yesterdays event, that I did not believe TE11 would be drilled if TE10 commercial. Personally I believe ,obviously, it is an each to their own whether they want-if TE10 successful-or not. For me ,regardless of how long i've been/ how many shares/what average etc but what suits me. Having just retired and missed(greedily didn't take) the previous £1 , I would now bite anyone's hand off at £1.5 as it would make for an extremely well catered for retirement. Others perhaps who have job security/younger may wish to go for the big one and I can't argue against that except why risk TE10 result -if good-on a high risk drill and make no mistake failure there,imo,will impact on any good work TE10 has given.
