Am now taking a relaxed view of events as SD appears to be on top of it all. Have received the 5% gift with thanks. Himself and the rest of the board/employees can now invest directly in GGP.
Whatever the reason for the short in GGP they must reconsider their position unless the short is still a loss leader purely as a smoke screen (expensive one) to enable 1 or possibly 2 really big players to make a takeover offer at some time in the future of either Newcrest and or GGP or both therefore establishing a major foothold in the whole Paterson region and the profits that may flow for several/many decades.
We cannot really predict the end game but all we have to do is sit tight and let SD deal with and engineer us through the Minefield. Success would ensure future great wealth for GGP and its shareholders.
Keep the faith.
Great respects to you and your wife and your fast action saved the day along with the NHS heroes. A beacon for us all.
Fed up of hearing silverhorse. Goodbye.

Fair comment.
It will be interesting if there is a late price surge towards end of day - a news positive update on one or two topics from SD might be expected. but wonder if his presentation will leave time (only 30 mins allowed I think) and very little if any question extension.
I had. Thought it might be FCA asking questions but I doubt it.
Thanks, I missed that due to my constitutional.

Back again instantly unless my sytem had gremlins. None the wiser.
It was obvious from 7am this morning this was to be a small down day. Someone did not want a row of weeks positives. Signs were it was going to rise early afternoon but has the sentiment been stifled with no info. Who knows?
I think it is likely to surge if the news form part of Newcrests Annual Financial Report in August. There is additional info also due like latest drilling, decline advancement to or near ore body, latest info on PFS progress for December including inflationary pressures. Any slippage of planned production start date and an overall view on the JV plus any other relevant info I may have forgotten.
Hopefully there will be no great negatives so, IMO, the positive trend in share price should continue and hold up well.

Confusing re Newcrest discussion under Newmont title but we all know the score.
I have no doubt that Newcrest will stump up the $60M US for the extra 5% regardless of expected business principles and looking after ones own shareholders. Newcrest do really appreciate GGP's input into Havieron and vice versa and the added value for both companies is recognised by both with the ultimate aim being a location of further Havierons or similar within the larger Havieron area.
This is demonstrated by the comments of Newcrest General Manager Fraser MacCorquodale (diggers & dealers 2021) which read "The best example is the Havieron discovery by Greatland who were willing to drill holes up to a kilometre (deep) and the reward for both companies out of that has been fantastic.
We've got a growth programme in place right now and that is all about how we grow that resource base".
From Shaun Days' recent comments on relations with Newcrest nothing has changed to upset the working relationship and both companies are happy with the way the JV is developing and the ever increasing resource that is Havieron and the long term benefits to both sets of shareholders.
Thanks to Soundman 1 for posting the link www.australianresourcesand investment.com.au/ which highlights the article.
GLA in the ever increasing resource.
Dip666,
Thanks for all your efforts. I haven't yet looked at your latest due to losing the internet link (common occurence for me that does not last too long).
Funnily enough it was just after watching Shauns webinar for the third time. He is captivating and we are in good hands. A must watch along with a must read of your notes for all shareholders. He even answered my question. Then the recent trade advancement - just like the old days.

I do hope there is some significant news re GGP negotiations with possibly some funding issues settled. The extended London stay must have been with objectives in mind concerning Banks, Footsie options etc and possibly so much more. It could be a real humdinger IMO but I will continue on my cautious approach to avoid any over-expectations. Shaun is not here on holiday, Thats for sure.
GLA
Shaun Day is here to update shareholders of the overall progress being made on all aspects of GGP developments. There are obviously things he cannot talk about but he is keeping his promise regarding communications with shareholders/shareholder groups and other Financial Institutions and others.
His aim is to convert GGP into a future major miner with a huge value. The wise investors here know this and we/ they have a thirst for knowledge of the progress being made in the ultimate objective. Whatever he says will be well received (even if it does not affect the share price immediately) and its only about the long term so anyone here investing for quick gains may be disappointed but then you have to accept that the way of things if you are invested in GGP. Not long to the update now and you never know!!
GLA and be happy we have a communicative leader.
Wonderful article and research-Will print and post on bedroom wall. Who will create/design the first Greatland Gold Threaded Wallpaper to helps us all sleep-easy ? I wonder.
Glad I do not short and sorry for those that do and who have not got out by now but its down to only themselves.
Looking forward to the good times again.

Good to see this mornings unfounded and venomous posts against our top posters and replies to including mine removed by lse. Are they finally getting the message? I usually try to avoid responding but sometimes........

JiffyBag,
We can only hope they do investigate despite their secrecy claims but that is what they are meant to do and its no secret to anyone.
Feel the only hope is from the USA whose investigatory organisations are/appear much more pro-active than the FCA and with more teeth.
Perhaps there is an investigative journalist out there who rather than confronting Boris on his return about piffling side issues of Partygate will take him to task(and Rishi Sunak over this and the general Aim stink that exists in this countries so called best Stock Exchange (London) in the world. Very sorry to be political but it would be great to get the scammers/criminals sorted once and for all.
If not we have to live with it but keep the faith in GGP.
GLA
Its always the same story on good news. The manipulators have a huge store of piffling low value sales (actioned no doubt by their cohorts) that are used as soon as an RNS is released to make it appear that many investors are selling up thus aiding there intention to decrease the SP. If the many positive posts relating to the good news and new share sales begin to look likely to increase the SP upwards then they throw in the occasional 100000 sales trades to apply further downward pressure. If despite their efforts the price looks likely to increase before close then they have the big guns in reserve and then we see the after hours large sales or false trades that are later cancelled (often marked unknown) that are used purely to reduce the SP. Manipulation at its simplest. So obvious it seems.
If the truth was that GGP were really in trouble then the SP would bomb to near zero in a matter of minutes but no that will not happen. A regular small percentage fall is what suits the manipulators plans. They know that GGP will thrive in the end but they are keeping this going as long as possible to milk what they can make and like the clever parasites that they are they do not kill the host. They feel secure knowing that no one in authority has the guts to take them on.
But they cannot stop the bandwagon of success which awaits GGP and Newcrest.

Dip666,
Great to see your the detail of what I was writing on this board RE Todays RNS on the new board of which I joined a couple of days ago.
Many may enjoy the best of both worlds re GGP investment information and that will benefit all in the long term.
Keep up the good work.
GLA
Todays RNS illustrates the confidence that SD and the board of GGP have in the future. They must be very confident that the forthcoming six months or so will be really financially beneficial to our future to embark on such an expensive 2022 exploration/drilling program.
Secure in the fact that we will be also be greatly financially benefiting from the start of Havieron production in the not too distant future.
I urge all investors to read the further information on the 2022 Paterson exploration drill program (www.greatlandgold.com/media/jorc) which gives more detailed drill information etc about this years exploration campaign and its new targets at Swan, Pearl, Swan East,Rudall, and Pascall.
The systematic approach to our exploration program demonstrates the attention to detail that is a trademark of GGP's exploration ( first undertaken by GH and now continued by SD) that resulted in the later Havieron huge discovery.
Of course we will have the usual detractors that come out of the woodwork at the behest of the manipulators who have this share buttoned up on publication of good news but we all know we have something exceptional so we will not give it away no matter what is thrown at GGP.
Keep the faith and sink the crooks.
