The share price you would like to see has nothing to do with reality. For this, a different macro situation is necessary, both the economic one in the US and the political one around the Iran-Israel conflict. I understand that people who do not own ITV shares are still praying for the possibility of buying them back cheaper, so that they can prove to themselves and others how clever and intelligent they were. And the truth is that their investment decisions have nothing to do with the financial situation of ITV, the forecasts or the future of this company, and therefore the real price of the shares on the market. Watching the value of the investment portfolio fall may not be pleasant, but investing is also about accepting changes in the share price that are not in our opinion should be, especially if they result from external factors. On the US market today we are dealing with a long-awaited correction, if not a breakout of the AI bubble - but the reshuffling of large investment portfolios has been going on since at least the end of March and will not have a negative effect on the value of the sector represented by ITV. Quite the opposite, because they result in a shift of capital and this towards the entire UK stock market. A fool will not understand why but knows in his own mind that he lost again, a wise one closely observes the trend and knows what I am talking about. In the short term, the Iran-Israel situation may have a more negative impact on the stock market. However, as I said before and as we have observed real situation before, I think that pragmatism on both sides will decide. Retaliation is retaliation, but political and economic realities show that the conflict will bring much greater turmoil with a possible loss of power in Iran, and in Israel it will sink Netanyahu even further. It could be probably beneficial only for Russia for a moment, although after a while it would backfire. So today the fear of the weekend and retaliation dominates. The USA together with NASDAQ is already in the prices of British stocks. A wise investor takes advantage of the opportunity and knows what to do. One without knowledge, counting previous losses and mistakes made, will still see only negative in today's situation on the stock exchange.
