Aug59, the argument for politics to play out is weak - To date, it has achieved absolutely nothing. We are now in our 8th year since the date of submission of our exploitation application. The SP is dire... New ‘assets’ are in my opinion a cash drain and years away from being cash generative. So please, in your humble opinion explain to me how letting others play politics has been of benefit to investors?

I might be wrong about the outcome, but the two opposing view points are correct i.e Renewal v refusal to grant said renewal by the MI. Either way, it’s conjecture to pass time...

The Kallak licence isn’t ours in perpetuity. Budge went to court last year I believe, to argue the case for a renewal of a licence on which we had not been active due in part to awaiting the Kallak outcome. The MI did not want to renew the licence on the basis of inactivity. The court agreed in our favour. Licences have to be renewed and paid for, so if the worst were to happen funding wise, the licence would simply be relinquished. It’s only worth the fees payable to the MI as it stands I’m afraid. The exploitation licence is a totally different matter. So yes, in our absence, an exploitation licence could be granted to s a mother operator assuming they had met all legal criteria. Whatever that might be? Lol

It’s called business... since when is anything fair or just in life? It’s too simplistic to think that we have the law on our side. Political agendas change all the time...

I hope that Budge has been productive (Note ‘productive’ as opposed to busy - busy fool and all), but he’s not exactly in a position of strength is he? Albeit in my opinion, he could and should be, but we’ve done legal action to watch. Kallak is not and never has been a secret within the industry since it’s discovery by the SGU in the 1950’s. So talking with the industry players he may be, at Almadalen etc. But without the licence, he’s nothing to play with...

We need more than a rumour, and I worry that even the issuance of the licence won’t be enough. Good CEO’s are also good salespeople and good marketeers. You might have the best product out there... but if you can’t get your message out...
