jlp shares, selling or sold almost certainly at around current price - fire sale!
When the JV is ratified BMR will be close to having a credible processing facility for its tailings - that is a major step change since suspension. The rest depends on the mooted placing and how well BMR can fund its share of any plant enhancements required. It's all up in the air it could go either way, we'll find out soon. Maybe Borelli will surprise, nay amaze us yet.
I don't see how this can turn out badly for JLP. If they further fund the plant they take a bigger share. I'm confident the project will be profitable I'm just hoping BMR still have a sufficient stake left to make it worthwhile. Must be some doubt now over the proposed placing both the likelihood and price given the fire sale of our JLP shares.
That makes sense Rosewall discuss with the lenders when the project is identified and ring fence the operation.
Bring, The reason he says they never got it because the dump wasn't available as a stand alone item. The gist of my enquiry was is it likely that JLP may find other tailings dumps in Zambia to develop and what involvement BMR may or may not have in that.
Bring, MinorMiner suggested the money was originally raised to buy the Hernic tailings dump - is that not an asset?
Thanks for the replies MM and sidebar. I thought possibly it could e used to add to the tailings programme in Zambia possibly copper rediscovered from the imaginary heaps in BMR history. There must be many opportunities there. Anyway unless JLP do take full control of Kabwe I presume they wouldn't wish to have their (BMR) involvement in future projects. Bring, That must be open to a lot of interpretation, how do you have a project without assets to work on/with?
yazz, what exactly are JLP going to use the $50M raised to procure spoil heaps such as Kabwe on? They seem reluctant to go all out and take Kabwe and JPL holders appear to live in permanent fear of further placings. Do you think it could be used using the JPL/BMR vehicle as a subsidiary concentrating in this field or is BMR too weak (currently) to be involved with in this respect? How do you see it being spent?
I read, admittedly a few years back, that the total amount of Pt ever recovered wouldn't fill an average semi-detached house.
An early positive update would get the proposed sale our JLP shares a boost. (if they haven't been sold already?)
I don't think the trolls are likely to affect much at the moment. Anyway thought there were some very interesting/informative posts in the last 24 hours from whatever your standpoint.
Snap! Great minds there BMR.
Things have changed massively since suspension, yes we've had to fork our more cash and look for a placing but to come out of suspension implies that both the placing and the the JV are goers. The plant is well on the way and with JLP in charge is viable (for the first time in BMR history).
Not to mention old Idi! Our colonists pale by comparison.

Yes, but it took Mugabe to show us how it really should be done.
Have we had official ratification that the JV is a goer yet? Where are we with the placing? Lots they need to be telling us.
...and that JLP will be doing the presentation to the ZG later this month.
The construction of our Kabwe project is underway following the reinstatement of the mining licence by the Zambian authorities. Our initial focus is on the implementation of the zinc recovery circuit. I will provide further details and clarity on the project following my presentation to the Zambian Mining Department later this month. Kabwe Zinc, Lead and Vanadium Project (Zambia) Our Jubilee and BMR teams are hard at work with the construction of the Kabwe project in Zambia. The initial construction focus is on the zinc primary leach recovery circuit. The lead and vanadium project schedule will be concluded following completion of the circuit optimisation work currently undertaken by Jubilee. The circuit optimisation test work by Jubilee's research and development team includes work to evaluate the optimal product purity specifications. Further detail relating to the project's implementation schedule and design specifications will be provided following the presentation to the Zambian Mining Authorities during June 2018. Clarification note on settlement of historical creditors by BMR Group PLC ("BMR") Jubilee wishes to clarify the conditions under which Jubilee has agreed to allow BMR to allocate a portion of its existing holding of Jubilee shares to settle certain approved BMR creditors. Under the agreement reached with BMR, such number of Jubilee shares as required to settle the approved creditors will be placed into a Jubilee nominated broker account ("transferred shares"). The transferred shares will be now be under Jubilee's control for onward placing to ensure orderly market conditions.
Cant have too much of a good thing - the last bit anyway!
