Saudis reducing exports in Dec by 500kbd from Nov levels whilst monitoring the need for further cuts, saying that market has swung the pendulum too far based on their current projections. Looks like they are trying to put a floor under the market.

AIS rarely works properly at Catcher, should see Scott Spirit it back on tomorrow heading to Rotts or alike.

When I spoke to IR last month they said that Solan production was the steadiest in the portfolio albeit around 5kbd....storage vessel is 300kb so offloads every 2 months. Not really been tracking it.

Somebody was wittering on about demand numbers earlier in the week. Did you see the article about record Chinese Crude imports for October of 9.61mmbd. A little bit of trade war panic but independent tea pot refiners are running at near capacity. Encouraging as we go into higher demand 4q. Counteracts some of the extra US production.

Also ship Collision in Norway has halted crude exports at a star oil operated terminal causing the mini spike.

OPEC lite meeting this weekend.

Very difficult to write the oil price off as the seasonality curve heads more positive after the maintenance season and with current Geopolitical tension.

6th time lucky to break that resistance today?

This 5th attempt to break 109ish resistance. Surely goes this time? And should see decent buying as acted as such a tough resistance line.

OPEC can now sjow their hand now the mid terms are out the way. Looks like they won’t let it get below 70, just how high will they allow it this time. Sanctions waivers are staggered and with limits for a period of 180 days.

Markets don’t like uncertainty, do we now have a clearer picture?

Strangely average monthly stock on loan dropped in Oct. down to 5.81% from 7.38%. Maybe skewed a little by the additional AHL positions arriving towards the end of month. Read into it best you can.

Really need to clear that resistance around the 109 level to restart any meaningful rally.

Interesting to see that the Scott Spirit has gone to Catcher after Solan to top up and save on dead freight. Good way to save costs.

Good update on Scott Spirit (seemed to have been in dry dock for ages). Agree on AIS signal being patchy in N Sea, but unusual to go out of touch in Rotterdam area for such a log period. The VOS boats do the safety at Catcher, so will see if they give any clues to the next offload. Saturday would be grand

Matrix O , if you're there, want to tap your knowledge. Stena Natalita keeps turning off her AIS. The reception around Catcher is usually a bit erratic, so can justify last weekends disappearance, but last position received was Rotts on Tuesday, and will have discharged by now and usually heads to the anchorage, but seems to be wearing her invisibility cloak. Conspiracy or dodgy beacon?

Perfect hand played by Trump before the population goes to the polls. Oil back down at reasonable level (see what happens next week after the vote...) and China trade talks progressing so his Faangtastic voters can stop fretting about their Portfolios. Nice shot across the bow from Steve Cook last night to boot.

Just need to break that resistance in the 108-109 area. The support held well yesterday despite the crude onslaught, 50 month and 50 week MA all coincide around 100, and hopefully close back above 200 day MA today.

ENSCO 8503 rig is the one to look up on marine traffic. Talios/premier have have it contracted for 100 days from sometime in November. It’s currently in the Gulf south of Houston

If you doubt some of the long term holders please go and look at the variety and amount of institutions and funds that hold this stock currently. The US doesn’t look to me that it’s going into recession, just people questioning growth. G20 end of Nov or will trump and Ping get together at the Asia PAC conf mid Nov? There’s a deal to be done somewhere without a big loss of face. IMO OPEC have oil where they want it and will adjust accordingly and already mooted that yesterday. The main point is that demand is over 100mmb and they need the price high enough to drive investment in further supply. Iranian barrel loss is a big thing. There is rumour that some are heading to Chinese storage to be paid at a later date, but only limited amounts that can go. Surely The US sanctions will be too much this time around for those that flaunted the rules last time?

The revenue numbers of the majors posted so far are staggeringly good, with current oil and let’s not forget gas prices. Shell report tomorrow. Hedging will have been strong on the recent uptick locking in future revenues at higher prices as the old hedges drop off.

Stena Natalia is discharging at Rotts, navion Oslo is st ****en anchorage, Heather Knutson is at MacDuff. A Saturday eta would be encouraging for Catcher production. New wells online this month. Zama drilling next. On the agenda.

Chartwise the 99p turned out to be the stronger structural support. This very finely coincided with both the 50 week MA and 50 month MA! Need above 108.50 to put a double bottom in play.

Fully paid up employees of the market makers are known to populate these boards. They have no position and are purely here to agitate and create volatility. They can usually be spotted by the stocks that they post about, usually ones that have recently dropped quickly , are highly volatile or are in a long down trend. Intellect is generally poor, and nobody should waste oxygen on them. The legality and the morality of the posting on these boards is what should be questioned, and maybe explored more rigorously by some. You’d have to assume that they are not FCA registered or work for one of the bigger institutions....heaven forbid.

Very strong results from BP today, let’s see if it knocks on to the rest of the sector. Should help to keep ftse in good shape today.

And NSea barrels are traded in standard 500kb parcels to set the physical window which sets the dated Brent price. Not that Catcher is part of the BFOE pricing mechanism but it could easily be coloaded with these barrels onto a VLCC to be exported out the region to Asia etc. VLCC are 2mmb, so operationally and economically easier to work with 500kb parcels when transferring to the bigger vessels.

In conversation they were happy at certain intervals to push it to10% extra Or 66kbd. Modifications needed to go higher I believe. Recent drilling activity will be tied in during Nov to keep reservoir pressure up.
