Saudi Minister this morning saying that exports will stay under 7m TIL at least the end of May and that at present they have no reason to change the OPEC + agreement, which could stay in place til year end. Iranian exports were minimal and are easily absorbed by the rest of the members....looks like $75-80 is their magic number.

Iranians also still sabre rattling once more about $100 oil and shutting the straits of Hormuz.

More ramblings for a dull weds lunchtime, whilst I try to unravel the large stock on loan number...

Jardine lloyd Thompson, Premier Food, BTG all have large Stock on loan numbers and low short interest above 0.5%....all current takeover targets/situations.

Metrobank, Intu similarly large stock on loan numbers but plenty of shorts over 0.5%

RPC is another company that had similar RNS holdings from GS, fluctuating on an almost daily basis. Their stock on Loan also shot up after rival takeover offers, whilst the shorts over 0.5% decreased. For example dec stock on loan was apx 6% moving up to 19% in Feb and 24% in Mar.....McCarthy and Stone, Pearson plc also subject to same pattern of RNS, as share price dumped last year. Not saying that there is a PMO takeover rumour happening but goes to show that there are more than just shorting reasons to borrow stock. Anglo American has similarly high stock on loan position at moment as it defends against a hostile takeover. Anybody elaborate any further?

Strangely quiet on this Nsea asset sale. FT reported Sep 18 that they were in Negotiations with a third party, but nothing six months later. Much better fit now that the Chevron cloud has passed.

MOL report 3rd May, so maybe some clues there and also good to see the Catcher output figures before PMO Results.

Apart from the world class assets, the Tax breaks are also one of PMOs most valuable assets, should there be any takeover incentives....

One thing I forgot to mention this morning before the board strangely got swamped with repetition and irrelevance is that the AIS on ENSCO 8503 has been switched off since the 12th April. Cant remember fully if it’s in a black spot, somebody please jog my memory, but could mean it’s on the move to start Zama 3. Sidetrack results should be imminent....,

We’ve been in dip to buy mode last few weeks, with a number of distinct consolidation periods allowing the chart signals to reset from being overbought. Good times.....? (For most). Chevron news should help. There are more accretive assets to be cherry picked...?

Bloomberg story out, about Delek and Ineos front runners for Chevy assets ahead of Premier and Chyasaor...maybe the Sunday Times can rerun the story and give us 10 % back. No wonder a few were so keen to keep the share price under pressure

For the umpteenth time, this GS RNS refers to position change last Wednesday so irrelevant to today’s action and was a minor position adjustment on h 6% threshold.

And the Norwegian parliament still has to ratify the change in portfolio proposition.....and wonder if it will still go through now that they’ve cut off a huge patch of future reserves to appease the green lobby....?

This more Geos domain. I’m more downstream orientated, but all the info is public, you can track the rig on marine traffic or vessel finder, and the rigs are booked out months in advance, so details readily available on ENSCO schedule.

As per timings, IR said early April, so not a million miles away. Talos will be the ones announcing the results so keep looking post US close for any news.

Chart wise still need to break that 105-110 October consolidation and early 2018 high, then have free air to 125 area. Trend is good, oil stocks are drawing, demand growing. Hopefully should be the news to get us to the nest staging point. Am still aiming to surpass last years ugh on this move.

Not yet it seems but there are less support vessels around ENSCO 8503, and Apache have her contracted from June so has to be soon., thinking this week. Likely we see a post US close announcement from Talos first.

If you want to see how these BB are full of sharks working in cahoots with each other, with multiple aliases, possibly with help from less scrupulous institutions, read the ASOS board before opening after this mornings RNS. Poor numbers were written into the price last month, yet the board was flooded with comments about the share price will half....I’m not going to cope with heavy losses and will sell on open etc. Share price opened up. Text book working a board.

Physical oil premiums tightening as demand picks up, refiners but in 4-6 week cycles ahead of delivery, maintenance season coming out the other side.
