I'll welcome any news you can find. The stability of Mali and the region is definitely a risk. For me the failure of Yanfolila is priced in at this level.l, so I only see upside if it delivers. Thanks.

It would be good to have confirmation if Yanfolila is fully ramped up now. An extra excavator on site, good weather season and security from the army. I am hoping for bumper Q1 production numbers, most exciting assays to come, DFS at Dugbe to complete and construction updates from Guinea. It wouldn't surprise me if this is bottom and we see a strong bounce when it comes. Then again, this is HUM.

Let's not make things personal guys. Everyone is enitiled to an opinion on here. No need to start flexing at each other. I just use these boards as a sentiment indicator. It looks like sentiment is at rock bottom and we are due a bounce!

I agree that it is scandalous the directors haven't bought any shares. Why would they need to with generous salaries and 1p options. Yanfolila does look pretty crappy on all fronts. The new mine being built looks alright though. I think even with a negative value for Yanfolila the other assets make this look compelling value. It's a high risk/reward play, but a lot of risk is now priced in.

Sanioumale East is going to be a stoner when we get the reserves update.

Does anyone know if they are mining Gonka now? From memory it comes on stream around now. If so, does anyone have a link to the pit design or know the strip ratio? Their website doesn't seem to have any presentations now.

So if you pay tax every quarter, why single it out as if it's a reason for the big loss last quarter?

The working capital movements comment is even more worrying. I mean you have either made a profit or a loss. Moving around money affecting the bottom line sounds like fiddling the accounts.

I've just been having a closer look at the accounts and it seems very hard to understand how they made such a large loss in Q3. The lower production and higher AISC only seem to account for part of this loss. Any ideas what they mean by " VAT payments of ~US$5.6 million and working capital movements". I mean surely you pay VAT all the time on any equipment. Why have they singled this out as if its one massive payment?

But Yanfolila isn't a cash cow, that's the point. They are barely scraping a profit as it is and you would expect AISC to rise due to mining less economical deposits and aging plant. Dugbe is even more expensive to mine and CAPEX will dilute HUM out, think back to CORA. The new Kouross mine (however that's spelt) might be OK for a bit. Yanfolila was alright for a bit, but there was still no returns to shareholders! None. Zilch. Plus loss of capital on share price and as someone points out, due to inflation (and lost earning potential) that means an investment in HUM has been truly awful from a buy and hold perspective. I can't see that changing whilst DB is milking it.

They've been saying that since day one. Originally, it was going to be comfortably into the teens and an AISC of $690. The reality has been somewhat different. As the life of mine extension will rely on deposits further from the processing plant you can expect a higher AISC.

Supply chain issues will be addressed with time. All the talk is of raising interest rates and fiscal constraint now. Unless they start monetising all the QE I'd expect a sharp shift to deflation in the medium term. We'll see.

Sure, their only producing asset doesn't matter because golds going to the moon. Nice balanced piece of critical analysis there.
