Exactly jmfw. So their M&A strategy remains in place - unless they’re only communicating changes with individuals. I don’t have an issue with a change in strategy, as ever, comms are the issue.

Fair, but comments on full funding are based on a change in M&A strategy and keeping the cash in the bank for Tx. I don’t see any indication of that on the ceo welcome page. I’d welcome it, but I’d be more welcoming of that change in strategy being communicated professionally.

Any reason you’re taking myles’ tweets as facts rather than speculation? Are we getting a press release that announces him as Alan’s spokesperson? The other day there was a thread saying they’ve changed their mind on acquisition following extensive discussions with SHs. I can’t remember getting an invite to that zoom call. If Alan is chatting to an individual PI and making strategic decisions based on that, then he should immediately step down as that’s utterly ridiculous. If he’s making strategic decisions based on any fraction of the shareholder base the same applies.

His job is to lead the business, set the strategy, communicate the vision and gain buy in from investors, not the other way around. Having a conversation about comms is one thing, having a chat about funding and acquisition strategies is something entirely different and hugely different if it’s not just a made up tweet. We’ve allegedly had emails being sent to PIs and conversations have apparently happened. That doesn’t amount to an improvement in comms. If Alan is sat in his favourite Saturday shumper reading this, then he should sort his sh.t out immediately - or maybe go whole hog down the entirely unprofessional Gerry Brandon route and start chatting on here. The annual report isn’t too far away, they need to take full advantage of that and clearly and unequivocally communicate their strategy in full.

Putting that comical situation to one side, the rest of your post is spot on, the communicated change (imagine that?!) to phase 1b was massive news. Certainly something to look forward to, as noted it’s expediting the trial and alongside Doc Tap’s enthusiasm and the FDA and U.K. changes we could have a product ready for market much sooner than we thought.

I just don't see much point discussing it every day. Funding wise, the cash will last the same length of time - if there are delays I'll assume they're spending their time on something else useful. We've no idea what's really going on, but what's new. They've received a message that comms aren't good enough, time will tell if it improves. Be a shame if you left, but if you've had enough it's understandable

Unless it's a board appointment I think they've done the right thing and it shouldn't be an RNS. A press release is a typical approach for a new appointment.

Great to see prof massive bell looking out for U.K. biotech firms having thoroughly screwed them over during the pandemic. Perhaps the quality of U.K. brown envelopes are improving, can’t see any other reason he’d be interested. Also I’m not sure how they’d get in touch with him given his unfortunate habit of losing phones and messages.

I can think of someone who will be tapping up the FDA. Geddit?

I just got an email from Alan-top-boss@yahoo.co.uk, as well as a bit of goss about Fifi (as he calls her) at the Xmas party breaking a photocopier, he also said that he was delighted to hear about my neighbour’s health since downing a pint of AVA6k. He said cohort 9 at 480mg is going well which is nice. He signed off by saying AACR is just around the corner and he’s been enjoying colouring in the poster which is a cracker - worth a few more billion. Also added a PS about them all having a laugh at the useless gambler buying on a Harl spike
