Common sense tells you that antigen mass screening is the only way to effectively track and trace and reopen the global economy. The pure joy is that Avacta retain all IP, so as long as it’s proven the tech works then we could end up with a large chunk of that global demand by Sir Al just sitting back, answering the phone, signing many more partnerships.

I think Sona will be the first mover but won’t get much of advantage if we rock up behind. Sir Al is confident ours will be the best and the advantage of affimers and the ability to quickly scale with multiple manufacturers should see us steal the lions share.

There’s definitely news on Tuesday. The tests are on sale right now, but only to one business in Cornwall. Chris Grayling is doing PR for Avacta.

Anyway, I agree that Cyvita will want to give Avacta priority. I think there’s maybe a bit of a hedge with their involvement with Sona, or alternatively they’d signed up with Sona and then realised the improved potential with Avacta. You can tell by the language Cyvita use (==screening) that they know Avacta’s product is the test that can help globally and in huge volume
