Some thoughts to be shot down... David ‘we know’ Wilson suggested 12 months. Even based on 6 months, that’s over 3bn tests. Anyone got a clue on global manufacturing capacity?

This suggests a market size of $6bn pre Covid. Average price of test, $15? So, typical manufacturing globally of 400m per annum? Quite a leap to an annual run rate for 6bn. How are we going to get enough manufacturers to get close to demand?

I thought demand was 1.4bn tests per month? That’s dropped quickly. He clearly doesn’t know any more than anyone else. It’s pure guesswork, littered with assumptions and estimates. I’d rather wait for the facts to emerge than blindly believe the wild musings of someone I’ve never met.

Yes, I do when it’s attached to a high valuation with no mention of risk. I agree with the potential, it’s why I’m here, but I’m also fully aware Awacta is a small cap AIM listed pharma and this is a high risk share. I prefer a more balanced viewpoint, but as I’ve said, you do you... anyone is free to post as they wish.

Not sure it means anything for Awacta. TP weren’t involved in the recent placing. It’d be nice if FinnCap were raided given the dodgy share movements and clear knowledge on Twitter before it was announced.

If we get to 2 or 3 times the current price that would suggest that some very good news has arrived and the potential for a much higher share price has been unlocked. I’ve said before if we get an approved validated test I’d expect a fiver on pure potential. As we begin the truly understand the actual demand, and more importantly the ability to supply, the price could increase significantly higher.

You may choose to take your cash and run at that initial point in time, personally I’m sticking around much longer. I doubt I’ll keep my full holding long term, but I plan on keeping some until t/o which I believe will happen at some point. I’d be amazed (but delighted) if Awacta was able to remain independent.

The FDA change in priorities aligns very nicely with GDR so hopefully they’ll roll out the red carpet and we can jump the queue for approval.

5% of 4bn is way higher than Awacta’s market cap pre Covid. £4bn potential might be ok, but I think a much smaller percentage is priced in. The recent rises are clearly Covid related. I’d expect a slump back to about 50p if the LFD isn’t a marketable product. However, a successful launch of the BAMS test with decent sales would underpin where we are now, so hopefully downside risk is minimal.

I was pleased to see the question of recycling being asked at the forum. Obviously immediate needs must, but producing billions of plastic tests to add to the billions of plastic PPE isn’t great. As the school of thought moves more towards this being something we live with for the longer term, I’m sure it will improve over time.

Probably worth mentioning the govt, all their boffin fwiends, idiots and all are fully aware of Awacta’s test. Why would they bother developing their own if they knew ‘the best’ was already on its way?
