Given we've already made an appearance on the Beeb, NY Times etc only based on the possibility of our test, do you not think we'll see a decent re-well rate before orders and sales? Anyway, what is the major inflection point for us? Given the muted response to the BAMS RNS, it's seems like until that starts bringing in cold hard cash it's not adding much. So back to the LFD. We have confirmation of clinical validation to come very soon and then we're looking at actual humans gobbing on them, following by approvals followed by sales.

Today was as close as you can get to saying it works as the S&S levels we're all hoping for. Given that, will the leap in share price come through end of July after we've had it tested in the population? Or with fast tracked approvals? Or once the astronomical orders arrive?

Oh, and I'd imagine a partnership deal qualifying as a major inflection point - that could turn up at any time so we'll put that to one lucrative side.

Any thoughts on which of the many incoming RNSs will be the biggy?

I think Sir Al just wanted to clear things up after the panel discussion. That’s as good as an RNS, they’re not saying they have it yet, but he’s given a detailed description of their aims and why they’re what is needed for mass screening. To complete the picture, don’t forget David ‘I know we can do it’ Wilson.

The only reference to Awacta is exploring the potential. Bit meaningless, but nice to have it confirmed we’re on their radar, they had no need to mention Awacta at this stage really.

Ditto Safy, I’ve previously been accused of having an agenda on the Avct board. I’m happy with challenges, it helps you to make better decisions. I don’t think anyone over there could have been pleased with the placing especially the way it played out. It’s about risk and reward, I’ve accepted that the price over there could slump to 50p unless they get something to market soon. However if they do, the current price will be quickly underwritten and there is huge potential.

FM, fully agree, validation will be a massive challenge. There was a recent panel discussion and the Sona CEO mentioned they are in regular discussion with the FDA so there’s a bit of making it up as an industry as they go. The need for high sensitivity is also true. Cytiva and Avacta stated they are confident of 95%+ and until they say otherwise, and that’s the risk, I’ll stick it out.

Elon, you stop the spread by breaking the transmission so you need to know who has it now, not who has had it. There’s growing evidence that antibodies don’t last and any talk of any kind of Covid passport based on having antibodies is the fastest route to a 2nd spike. The second someone who has had it gets any kind of preferential treatment, you’ll find Covid parties springing up everywhere.

Safy, you already know the answer, it’s in development, the prototype is due soon. How’s the design freeze here coming along?

PDMS, what I actually said was that an antibody test does nothing to fight the spread of Covid. That’s why I’m not invested here. It’s also why both the govt and FDA have switched their focus to POC antigen testing. Good luck.

The rate of growth globally is increasing. That’s an undeniable fact.

Having had 2 clearly very bitter merchantbankers on here recently, PDMS and MysticMeg, it’s pretty obvious they’re absolutely sh.tting themselves about the govt switching focus to POC antigen testing. Not to mention they’ve also suffered from the joys of an AIM placing. No strategic investor over there though...

I find the rivalry thing a bit odd. Just do your research, invest in the ones you like (GDR looks good too, did I mention that?) and ignore the rest.

Don’t get me wrong, 400m tests would still result in a decent wedge, but that would also rely on Awacta contracting every LFD manufacturer on the planet. Maybe we could get Dyson to design something, but this time actually use it?
