I mean, we shouldn’t laugh... but they moaned about their RNSs being too miserable and that their comms weren’t good enough. So what have they done? Employed someone (probably the lad that gave away he was working on our test on his LinkedIn profile - he’s good at social media) and set up a ramping Twitter account.... but then still released miserable RNSs.

I'm not sure that's the case though, aren't the govt supplying the additional capacity in the same way as they are for Surescreen? It'll be interesting to read their full contract when it comes out

I can't see their margins being anywhere near as good. With the govt supplying kit it's a bit of a messy scenario - this might reduce margins further. The govt press release mentioned the creation of hundreds of jobs, that's hundreds of individuals adding to costs. If I held Omega, I'd be busy moaning, slating the CEO and kicking myself for not investing in the game changer.

I agree, but I'm left pondering why Bidstats released that contract and they've made an announcement specifically for those two rather than the full consortium. I can only guess it's purely down to delays in getting contracts for the remainder sorted due to their existing arrangements with... ummm, anyone know of a company that has contracts with ABDX and BBI? All a bit weird really, but this is the govt.

They're a miserable bunch aren't they? The wording of the RNS by their dour CEO is irrelevant, they'll do ok. Gives them a chance to 'top up'.

No thanks wiggly. When there’s £8bn sloshing around for the public sector in the U.K. why on earth would they consider selling for a pathetic $1bn? There are many other markets to go after and the revenues will be huge.
