Apparently tech transfer to the noisy neighbours was happening. All gone quiet since... their CE mark was on a small sample, so maybe it’s at Porton Down or they’ve gone back and tweaked it for another go. Maybe they’ve binned it as they’ve partnered up for a better test. Who knows...

A really excellent find, many thanks for posting. Very interesting research on behalf of the DoH. Should back up their desire for a test that performs for the infectious range. Surescreen looks very good, although samples were the usual tickling type. If we can match their performance for an AN sample, it’ll be incredible.

I’m sure Deeks will have a field day with it.... he’ll no doubt concentrate on the overall sensitivity figures. He should focus on figure 2, only a couple of infectious cases missed above a ct of 25. With regular testing, at the start of infection they would be picked up the following day or if they’re near the end, that’s fine, they’re no longer infectious.

We want a CE mark anyway, there are a lot of other countries that could make use of an excellent easy to use test. It’s not on the critical path, once CV is done it’d be madness not to CE mark it. The govt can do whatever they want, wait for CE or crack on. Most likely they’ll crack on. Orders will hopefully follow soon given manufacturing contracts are in place

Just 6.5k to cover a £200 a point spreadbet? So only covering 32.5p movement? Last week had a high of 279 and a low of 240 = 39p volatility. You’d have been blown out of the water. Fairly uncomfortable if you ask me, but if you’ve got balls of titanium, go for it...

I use spreadbets as cheeky additions to positions but they can backfire. I had some pre vaccinegate that were robbed from me, but I was probably being a bit too greedy. You do need to take some care. I’ve got some open now, but with plenty cover as those MMs love to bend you over from time to time.

I reckon I’d keep my job as a hobby for a while, just to test the boundaries of what you can get away with before getting sacked. Aaah, the fun I could have.... The overall plan is definitely an Abakta funded early retirement though, so here’s hoping
