Good RNS's on EUA normally result in a drop.
Massive rises come out of nowhere and for no apparent reason.
Only two things gonna make this SP dance and that's a ceasefire and/or somebody hammering a sold sign where the for sale sign used to be.
Both of those things will happen at some point..... shortly. (But my guess is defo 2022)

Rfarfa, i was sort of the opposite and a mate who bought in the 60p range was super glum and told me about losing a fortune here. He then said it may be worth a punt if they can get through the next few weeks so I bunged in 500 quid at 1.22…
I probably owe him a pint too….the short and medium term future here even if you buy in at todays price looks excellent!
Just wish I had bought within my ISA but ran out of space this year.

That’s a positive and factual article Tilly and I enjoyed reading up until the « first appeared on the motley fool uk » bit!
Struggling to read a lot of the bickering and more extreme views on both ends of the scale on here atm. Hope the decent crowd keep up the good factual work.. which is difficult sometimes with so many idiots trying to muddy the waters. Keep it up, chaps….. it’s sometimes hard to soar like an eagle when you’re surrounded by turkeys….

Woodlaker, by nature of P+O being an international transport company do you not think they should be able to employ French, Irish, Dutch etc as they are also based in those ports?
Secondly, none « indigenous » workers could work in the uk before the EU and now after the EU membership. Have you heard of the commonwealth? Have you heard of visas?
Finally exactly who in the uk do you class as « indigenous »? Check your dna, dude. You’ll be surprised at where your ancestors came from… it ain’t just the uk.

Yeah, a positive outcome on a ceasefire would likely mean that the sanction levels have peaked…. And as they don’t currently affect EUA directly, we’d be as in the clear to continue the strategy as possible in the situation… especially if it was never being sold to western companies anyway…
Everything crossed for a ceasefire…. Primarily for peace and the Ukrainians, secondly for my currently very sad looking isa.

Nickel market remains shut as Chinese producer faces $8 billion loss

Nickel trading remained closed in both Shanghai and London as the two exchanges made slow progress in unwinding the massive loss-making short position held by Tsingshan, a Chinese nickel producer.

Tsingshan faces losses of some $8 billion on its position, according to various reports.

The London Metals Exchange has been fiercely criticised for its decision to cancel some trades made earlier in the week, which it said was due to the threat to the viability of some its members.

“The ability of the financial system to get that money to the members in London and then into the exchange I think would have been significantly stressed,” LME CEO Matt Chamberlain told Bloomberg.

Assume there's other people on this BB who have been willing this on like a scene out of a bad soap opera to break the 10p barrier? Might have let out a little cheer when it popped...
