Mallen: My understanding of the questions you ask: I believe that the photo in the newsletter is showing the TCC that was being manufactured by MDKL. It's certainly not the demonstrator at Thornton Park which looks more like something one might knock up in ones shed! And I can't think of any reason why they would show a photo of any other TCC.

Secondly, I'm assuming that the special alloy that was purchased for the Protos DMG and which is now in PHE's possession is still intact in it's entirety and that part of it was not used for the demonstrator being manufactured by MDKL. I have no evidence for this it is just an assumption based on the way that it's written in the RNS.

I always feel it's best t read the RNSs carefully:

"The Company is in possession of the alloy that was bought by its wholly owned subsidiary Plastics to Hydrogen Number 1 Ltd, for the first commercial scale of the TCC. This had previously been stored at MDKL in Carlisle but was moved earlier this year."

Here they are referring to the alloy that was bought for the full-size commercial DMG at Protos (the FOAK) which had been stored by MDKL at Carlisle but has now been moved and is in PHE's possession (the "Company").

So why the drop in SP? I thought this was excellent news. Is it because the RNS mentions production in 2026?

I accept that the market has a long memory but surely investors must see that IES is a different animal now. The have just received funding form the DOE and they have received orders and made deliveries. This is nothing like the old REDT days! But it seems that investors want profits now, not in 12 or 24 months, and they also get very nervous about requirement for future funding and scared of potential dilution.

How can the SP go down after a presentation like yesterday's?

Exactly Patxaran, and until there is a facility sorting and recycling plastics on the Protos site there is no way that there can be a DMG there.

Castle, did you read the discussion on here last week about the general delays with facilities at Protos? PHE can't build its DMG at Protos in isolation.

How much did it cost, and how long did it take, to R&D and commercialise the jet engine?

I agree with your analysis LedZep. Nevertheless I'm hanging on for a bit mainly to see how it goes at the new development centre.

RoleKing, the delays are not being caused by PHE. They cannot build a DMG on Protos until other facilities are also under way. Everything on the Protos Plastic Park is running away behind, not just the PHE project. They all have to work together.

Why cancelled? Delayed perhaps, but why cancelled? The building has been prepared for it and the thermal chamber is in manufacture and almost complete. Cancellation at this stage would make no sense at all.

PHE can't build a DMG unit at Protos in isolation. Although the idea of the Plastic Park is a great concept with a jigsaw of facilities each feeding into another, this is also a drawback at the construction and installation stage because it all has to come together, like little ducks lining up. The plastic recycling facility that I believe PHE were expecting to get their feedstock from hasn't even got funding yet, and was supposed to be operational in summer 2022. And no off-take for hydrogen as the hydrogen refuelling station for HGVs that Peel was expecting to install at Protos hasn't materialised, and may not be seen for some time, if ever. So there really isn't anything that PHE can do at Protos on its own, until the other facilities get organised.
