Incidentally I do follow the progress of the planning applications for both Protos and Rothesay, and comment on the delays on this BB fairly often.

mjallen: The comment "But no excuse why Peel aren't progressing this.." is not my comment, hence I placed it in inverted commas, it was a statement by Kontiki2 in the immediate previous post. I was actually disagreeing with his statement, which is the reason for my final sentence explaining why, in my view, there has been a delay, putting the reason onto planning and not Peel.

mjallen, I didn't make any such statement. If you read my post carefully you will see that I suggested the reason why Peel has not progressed plot 10B on the ground is because they have not yet obtained planning approval for the other related facilities at Protos, on other plots. I put the blame for that squarely on the planning authorities, or planning system, and not Peel because I am aware of the developments that Peel are making at Protos. As I have said on several occasions, development of Plot 10B depends on approval of the planning application that Peel submitted on 7 October last year.

It will be interesting to see who replaces him.

Audible, I have told you at least twice about this - 13,500 tonnes is the ANNUAL throughput, not the DAILAY throughput. It is approximately 40 tonnes per day.

Except that thy still haven't got planning permission for the plastic waste sorting and recycling facilities at Protos which will provide the feedstock for the DMG, nor for the hydrogen fuelling station at Protos.

We don't need any more investigations, we all know about the waste plastic problem all over the world. Investigations won't solve anything. What we need is action and less talk.

I think GC should invest £8M of his own money into equity in IRON, and then let IRON get on with the business that it was set up for.

Someone on one of the other BBs has stated that the cost of electricity from the Power Tower is about 4x the price of power from the grid. Apparently someone said this at the demo. Does anyone on here know if this is accurate?

Just top make sure that my post to Patxaran is not taken out of context (as in Audible's post below) I also went on to say:

Patxaran, I agree that it's odd that neither PHE nor HUI seem to be prepared to acknowledge that it is the DMG technology that is intended for the Ireland project, despite the collaboration agreement that is in place between the two companies for that very purpose, but I can only assume that this is because the project is at a very early stage and there are still legal hoops etc. to jump through before they can come out to the public with confirmation of this. Again, there really isn't any other plastic-to-hydrogen technology that HUI can be using, and it wouldn't make any sense for them to do so, especially because of the collaboration agreement that already exists between them.

Pabxaran, I suggest you read the previous posts today then you may better understand what's going on here. HUI are not looking for another partner to replace the PHE technology, they are looking for a partner to take a share in the JV (SPV) project in Ireland. That has nothing to do with looking for technology to replace the PHE technology.

Why do you think the relationship has been broken? If HUI are using PHE's DMG technology the relationship is fine, it's just that PHE may or may not take a share in the SPV.

Tatty, I think you're mis-interpreting the RNS. They are talking about the JV (SPV) partnership, not about the DMG unit or otherwise. The decision that PHE are having to make is whether they take a share in the JV with HYI, or not.

The question is not about whether HUI use PHE's DMG for the project.

I'm inclined to agree with you Doc, it's just releasing the CO2 etc. into the atmosphere at a later point down the road.

Probably no reason why PHE shouldn't take a shareholding in both the Protos SPV and the Ireland one, then they will get a share of the profits as well as the £500k annual fee.

Anyway, the thing that I find really interesting about today's RNS is that it more or less confirms that it is PHE's DMG that is intended for the Ireland project, and the decision about whether PHE becomes a partner in the SPV or not will be made later.
