Well I guess there are three ways they can get power to their chargers at motorway service stations or elsewhere for that matter:
a) Renewable energy from the grid. For the quantity of power that they are talking about here, they may need to lay in separate cables to handle that quantity of power to charge a lot of cars at one time. Of course all AFC shareholders are well aware of this problem!
b) AFC fuel cells running off hydrogen or ammonia.
c) I know that Shell have an arrangement with ITM for them to produce power for chargers at some of their service stations, using electrolysis. I believe that although some of the power for this comes from renewable energy from the grid, in some cases it comes from on-site solar power. Would such a system be capable of producing enough power for these ABB chargers?

I don't seer anything in the report to say that it's "off-grid" but oc course that doesn't mean to say that it isn't.

Give the profit-takers a week or so to **** off, then this will get on track properly, IMHO!

It's hard to know what exactly lies behind it all. It may be genuine enough, but you never know.

Excellent post mjallen, and thanks for summarising the timeline. It's good for us to remind ourselves of these milestones. And of course Peel are actively carrying out development works at Protos Park, on the infrastructure and on several sites, although so far they haven't started on Plot 10B.

Ask Peel, they're in charge of the bricks. Oh yes, and the planning department of course. They seem to be in charge of everything.

Hello1, it's not the making of the plant that's causing the hold up, at the moment Peel seem to waiting on planning permission for the other related facilities.

I am certain it will happen spindok, but it might be a bit later than we had hoped. Don't know which location will build the FOAK, Protos or Poland or Ireland. Any one would be welcome!

The "market" doesn't seem to like it. Sometimes I think the "market" doesn't know its arse from its elbow!

I think this is a good move and shows that they are nt just sitting on the sidelines and waiting for Peel and HUI to do all the commercialisation. The G3 is small and bit "Heath Robinson" so a bigger and more up-to-date version is necessary.

Doesn't say how much it will cost of course, nor how they will pay for it.

I haven't seen or hear anything official on that front, only speculation on these bulletin boards. I'm sure that the PHE and HUI management will have looked into this in a professional manner.

Although I hadn't thought of the possibility that Peel's latest planning application for Protos could fail to get approval, I take your point that if they don't get it through there probably wouldn't be any point in building the DMG facility. Still, I think there is very little chance that it will be denied, but it could take a bit longer I suppose.
