Of course the environmentalists are unlikely to give their support:

These people want their cake and eat it, and won't be happy until we are all back in the middle ages.

But thankfully the report goes on to explain:
"The Cheshire project plans to trap the gases and pipe them into a power plant to generate electricity. This would not be any more polluting than the UK’s existing gas-fired power plants, and would avoid the need to extract more gas from the ground."

I think that in the interview he said sometime mid August, but I can't remember exactly.

jabberba: He actually did say he would not be giving an operational update until the AGM. I assume he meant immediately before the AGM, because he can't give any new news actually AT the AGM.

Interesting statement:

I believe that steam methane reforming is an expensive method for producing hydrogen. Perhaps one of the "new technologies" they refer to could be PHE's DMG system?

The report also states:
"According to a February energy ministry statement, 12 waste-to-energy power plants were due to be operating by 2022 and combined should create up to 234 megawatts of electricity using 16,000 tons of waste a day."

16,000 tons of waste per day is 1,333 tons per day for each of the 12 plants. That's much bigger than PHE's planned DMG unit at 25 (or even 40) tons per day.

The report talks about "eco-friendly plants to turn waste into electricity" but then goes on to say "Bekasi and Solo had pledged to build such plants, which incinerate trash to drive turbines to create power." I wonder, are they really talking about incinerators, or is it gasification plants which they are calling incinerators?

There are bound to be sellers at this level, and bit of a pull-back maybe even for a few days, but it's encouraging to see that there are still a lot of buyers around as well.

Don't understand this market reaction. It seems that nowadays whenever there is good news, the SP goes down.

This must be worthy of an RNS from PHE as well as a press release from W2T?

Because W2T will be PHE's first customer, and they will establish the SPV (Joint Venture Project) to finance, build and operate the first DMG unit. So they need to raise finance to do that.

"Transport Secretary Chris Grayling has outlined new plans to increase the amount of electric chargers available to motorists, focusing especially on home and workplace powerpoints."

I wonder if he know anything about hydrogen as a fuel for vehicles?

Early July is what it said in the W2T release.

Perhaps W2T will take over both!
