How would the energy be stored? Presumably that would be either syngas or hydrogen?

Thanks for that link Boffin. This is great update with lots of detail, and although some of us will have been aware of quite a lot of this before, this brings it all together very nicely and it will be a very useful reference document.

Kenny: That report is about a month old. David Ryan stated “Peel L&P will aid the roll out of the technology and importantly they share our vision of the great potential arising from the distributed hydrogen economy.” Sounds more like support from Peel, rather than providing financing. I gather that Peel are providing the site and basic infrastructure, and assisting with the planning process.

Bear in mind that W2T are supposed to be the developer of these projects, and that they are creating the SPV for the first one. So they will presumably want to own a large chunk of the SPV, probably 50%, in order to get the lion’s share of the profits. If Peel was to invest all of the capex, then what would W2T’s function be?

I don’t think that Peel will be putting up the £130M. I think that is just an estimate of the total investment that will be needed for the 11 DMG units. I believe that was inferred by DR in his latest Proactive interviews.

Your ISA providers should not remove your SRSP shares from your ISA Accounts before 30 days following delisting because the company intends to re-list on the stock exchange shortly. When they do, if the SP goes up, and if that means that you have made capital gains, then you will be subject to tax on the gains, because you will have lost the ISA tax protection.

If your ISA provider has already removed your shares from your ISA, then you need to tell them to reinstate them there, because they have no right to remove them in the first place. They should contact HMRC for instructions.

Surely this is the positive statement that ought to be getting attention:
"At present, De Nora has confirmed it has the ability to supply requested electrode delivery for the initial placement and commercialisation of AFC Energy's fuel cell system, including the EV charger demonstration, expected to be delivered in Q4 2019."

Yes stokey, I did miss the point you were making, well sort of! I think the W2T document you are referring to could be slightly misleading. It was prepared on the basis that W2T would be the sole owner of the DMG operation, in which case all of the revenue would quite rightly go to W2T, out of which they would pay the licence fee to PHE.

However, instead of reading W2T in that particular table, substitute SPV, the company that will presumably be set up for each DMG site. The revenues will go to the SPV company as the owner and operator of the DMG unit(s), and not directly to W2T. If W2T is the only shareholder / owner of the SPV company, then of course they will get all of the remaining Net Profit from the operation after paying the licence fee and all operating costs. If there are two or more shareholders / owners of the SPV company, then the Net Profit will be shared out accordingly.

Well that's my take on it anyway.

Stokey: I don't think there should be a problem deciding on the profit share under any of these circumstances, because the share of profits will be determined by the percentage shareholding by each party in the JV (SPV) that owns and operates the DMG unit.

I agree Jim. Remember this comment in the Half Year Report:

It's my belief that there is more potential in off-grid generators to replace diesel generators, large and small. Of course it all comes down to cost, i.e. cost of the generators and cost of the fuel, which I imagine will be in the form of cylinders of ammonia. I'm sure that AB and his team will be well aware of what costs are involved and how it compares to the alternatives.

I don't think that's right, Gadams. There wasn't a payment of £500k made in June 2017, it was agreed that they would pay up to £500k to assist with planning etc. on the sites. Several posters on here, including myself, believed that it was Peel, and I think that is now fairly obvious.

I'm not aware of W2T taking deposits of £50k to secure future DMG unit. Where did that come from?

Does anyone know how much it costs to produce ammonia? Or actually I should say, how much does it cost to produce hydrogen using ammonia?

Ah, that's better, still doesn't tie up with the Mid price though.

The Bid price shown on here is just plain wrong. I don't understand why it keeps jumping around all over the place, but it certainly can't have dropped to 4.02, and isn't reflected in the Mid price either.

I think it's disgusting that all these years we've been shipping our domestic rubbish to the Far East and even to European countries instead of finding ways to deal with it ourselves. Well the chicken are all coming home to roost now, and of course this country isn't prepared for it, because they have been so content to ship it off to other countries, out of sight, out of mind.

And even now, the only thing they can think to do with it - is landfill!

Good point stokey, I believe you are right!

But, having said that, bear in mind the the DMG unit is expected to produce hydrogen at a much lower cost (and hence lower price) than any other hydrogen producer, using any other method, so it is unlikely that anyone using DMG technology will qualify for any kind of subsidy. Subsidies may be given to other producers, but of course that is unknown at the moment.
