My main concern at the moment is whether W2T will be able to raise the funds to build and operate the first DMG unit. I'm not sure if they are going for it 100%themselves or if they are looking for a 50% partner in the SPV.

Anyway, I'm really pleased that it has now been submitted, and hopefully there won't be any delays or objections.

LedZep, my point was that there is a difference between being told that the planning application has been completed by Peel, and confirmation that it has actually been submitted. So thanks to Stokey we now know that the application was received by Chester Planning on 18th. That is precisely what I was looking for!

I was hoping to get something more positive about the submission of the planning application because I was expecting that to go in about a month ago. I think that when we get positive news in that area, that will help the SP.

So it seems they are going straight in at 35tpd rather than starting at 25tpd.

Could be, z-cars, but I just think it's odd if nothing has been submitted yet, because in his interview with Andrew Scott on 14th August David Ryan said:
1:57: "Planning [for the first site] to be submitted in the next day or so, with a ninety day turn-around indicated."
So that was more than a month ago, and we've had no update on the situation since.

Perhaps we need to start preparing a list of sensible questions and put some pressure on the BoD to either answer the questions or arrange a meeting to clear the air.

It's understandable that in a development company there will be targets, aspirations and MOUs that will not materialise. That I can accept. What I don't accept is that when something like a specific goal or MOU is announced by RNS or at a GM, that it should just evaporate without further mention. If something like that is officially announced in the first place, then its delay or demise should also be announced. And if that doesn't happen, then I believe that they should be taken to task at some point, whether by a communication submitted on behalf a group of shareholders, or at a GM or other such meeting.

A new charging hub for electric cars has opened in Dundee. The city has one of the highest concentrations of electric vehicles (EVs) in the UK.

The new hub, situated on top of Greenmarket car park, is the first of three planned in Dundee. It uses solar canopies and a battery storage system to charge up 20 vehicles at a time.
Currently, vehicles can be charged for free but the city council plans to bring in phased tariffs from November.

I would certainly agree with him about that!!

I think these reports about a consortium investing £130M is just a tad misleading. W2T has no money, and they are looking for outside investors, assisted by EY and Peel. PHE won't be putting any capital investment into the project, their contribution is on the technical side. As far as I'm aware, Peel won't be putting any capital into the project, their contribution is that they are providing the site and the infrastructure, and assisting W2T in finding investors.

Sorry to pour cold water on it. I'm not being despondent, and I'm very optimistic about the final outcome, but we need to be realistic and keep our feet on the ground.

What "other UK project" are you referring to, Kenny?

I must say it's a bit of a concern that we haven't heard anything about the planning application. I thought that was just about ready to go in before the end of last month.

Thought there might have have been some sort of feed-back from someone at the show by now, but perhaps later.
