aduk. when i have commissioned duel fuel GT's (as these are so far as i know), they are always commissioned on diesel not gas (as an example 4 solar centuar units (AM has 2 solar mars units) in egypt many years ago). as pointed out full load banks etc required (which should be visible as 11Mw of resistive load bank is a lump!). With LNG they would need a regasificatioin unit - i can not say i have ever known GT's to be commissioned/ tested with LNG as the source ( but not to say it does not happen - and would have to admit most of my GT experience is on far larger units).

dtrade. big dave has clearly made much money from co start ups and IPO's. i have no view on his share purchase anymore than i have on anyone elses. but there are lots of peeps who do follow him and react. a cynic could think he buys; tweets and then sells into the increased interest - i have no idea if this happens and am not claiming it has.

there is solution gas in the oil - the CPR authors were not able to determine the Gas Oil Ratio (Gor), but there was always gas. as posted before the drilling through the portland and kimm in the '80's to deeper levels had the risk of gas kicks at these levels - well designs allowed for it.

as for what to do with gas - either flare (short term) or use for elecy gen (as others have said). chance of associated gas being in exportable quants is very very low in my view (a high GOR would be known about i suspect - and its not). i suspect another "red herring" issue. putting in small gennys is just a pain...

Nigwit. I am sure you recall how we went about drilling in the Weald back in the 80’s. Very professional. The likes of Angus drilling without consent and Ukog applying for wide ranging injunction does much harm.

But also look at the mcap and workout how much oil is required per day to provide the justification for that mcap.

Over the years this bb has been a nest of rampers. Always one or two leaders -Bdi and (fool on the hill) then marky now dhc. It is interesting how it has changed over the years- I think much of the uber positive stuff is now on Twitter.

I have posted i fully expect the Portland to be commercial- that is to say it can produce and make a positive margin at an operating level. But will it generate sufficient margin to cover the balance sheet asset write back? My assessment says it is st best marginal without the water flood pressure support.

I (along with many I know in the oil sector) believe the Kimm can very likely flow with fracking but not to any material extent without. One can debate if and when consent would be granted for this - but I would suggest it would not happen any time soon and that kills the investment case.

Interesting- several projects I know of ( Exeter uni / Mrc fujara). I work on a similar range of projects but most in the £30m to £200m size in the building side and £300m + in the energy sector. I have lots of spaghetti...inc chartered energy eng.....( lots of spag = higher hourly rate!)

Morning. There are many posters I exchange views with on these bb’s. The ones I respect are those who provide their opinion on aspects of an investment case which is both justified and evidenced from fact when this is possible. Ricfle is in the small group of posters who does this and thus I respect. I do not always agree with his views but I do respect them and never dismiss them. Sometimes it is clear later he was correct but I could not see that at the time.

The only use Hur could have for a 214 bl tanker is to top up the main Diesel engine lube tanks...far to small for bunkering the diesel fuel tank..

Looks to me like a few BBM’s for the dogger bb have found a place of informed opinion on oily shares.
