Anyone going to try and join?
I wondered if this little rise had come solely from Myles' tweet - looks as though that could be the case.
I can't imagine investing my money in something I have 0 knowledge of - although that said it is hard to argue with Myles' track record!
Don't think anyone is going to be keen to get rid of shares bought at 12p! I missed out on the placing but luckily still managed to buy at 12.85p.
Won't even consider slicing profit til these are nicely clear of 20p.
Good research from a few on here today and great find by The Analyst to clear things up.
Sometimes I do wonder what the point of these forums is but you can get the odd gem hidden between the ramping/bull****/deramping.
Let's hope the market is provided with further information soon and that this is indeed part of an exciting venture.
It is a fairly old article and no mention of EQT. Yes, the EQT account have tweeted it but they tweet a hell of a lot of unrelated posts - also the article refers to 'pyrolysis' is this even the same technology as Eqtec?
I'd love it if he did get involved with Eqtec but so far we have seen little evidence to suggest this is the case.
Only worry is the initial costs of getting this project up and running - even with £10m from placing, EQT will require additional funds:
"The exclusivity runs until March 2021 and can be extended by mutual agreement. The proposed purchase price for the Project will be £4.6 million plus a further amount to be calculated based on a formula linked to the final planning achieved and a detailed financial model of the Project (subject to a maximum further amount of £5.4 million). Any such transaction, inter alia, will be subject to definitive agreements, further due diligence and and funding."
Wonder where that funding will come from?
Guess they saw the placing as a huge opportunity to raise the funds needed to embark on projects such as this and take them to the next level. the forecast revenues stated in the RNS (if achieved of course) are incredible and would see the marketcap go through the roof.
Glad I bought back in below the placing price now!
Re-reading the Billingham MOU extension RNS and there are several mentions of looking for funding:
"the Company commenced discussions with potential co-developers and funders to the Project, a number of which are progressing well. "
"The Company also initiated technical due diligence with potential funders and insurance providers, which is ongoing."
You'd think the fact Eqtec have now reduced their debt & raised £10m will mean significantly less external funding is required to get this project up and running. Could we see Eqtec take a greater equity stake in the Billingham project?
Yep, I sold in anticipation of a placing and had to keep an eye out to see if I was correct. Luckily I waited until a couple of days after placing as otherwise Id have bought just before the legal matters.
I got in at .4 - can only think these levels are a bargain.
Fair few large buys cropping up toward close of play - fully expect to see a rise 1st thing tomorrow.
I have also seen people discussing an RNS due whereby D.P will clear up the confusion caused due to the legal dispute - although I will add I personally have no idea whether this is genuine - I've just heard from a few others and seen written elsewhere. Time will tell.
Having sold out at .79 I am now back in - I sold in anticipation of a placing which eventually came. I then planned to buy back in as the SP drifted - Initially setting .45 as my re-entry level.
Due to the US legal news we have been presented with a big opportunity - I can see short term fluctuation from .3 to .4 but ultimately Eqtec is undervalued at this level. If anyone buys in below .4 I think they will be sitting extremely pretty in the next 6-12 months.
Whilst I am pleased in a selfish way having expected this to happen and sold my entire long term holding at .79 - Well aware there will be many panicking/furious at this so for those trying to push further or lead with "I told you so" - there is no need.
Ultimately, the company would have been crazy not to generate this capital after such a rise in SP - but worth noting the company is in a much better state than a year ago or even 6 months.
My plan is to wait for this to drift slightly below the .45 placing mark and then I will likely reinvest from there.
aandi - I have been posting on the Eqt forum for 3 years now, I announced when i bought, gave my honest opinion throughout and have now announced that I am out.
Im being completely transparent - would I like a lower entry in the future? Absolutely - I said as much in my recent post... "you will likely see me again if there is a placing!"
Do you think me telling people I have sold and giving my honest reason will make any difference to the SP? It really won't.
