As a potential Smart Breakdown customer, it hadn't really occurred to me that it might be primarily of benefit to the AA in terms of cost savings. I don't think most people think it through that cynically, or that deeply.
I would just see it as an overall more modern, more efficient way to do things, which is generally a good thing, should improve the service to me, and may even lead to lower prices for everyone in the long run.
