In the next 6-12 months, we could see inflation down to 3%-4% if not the 2% target. Another rise tomorrow to 5.5% is still likely - but that could be the last one. Once inflation comes down to those levels, we could see real push in UK stocks and you would wish if you had bought more of growth stocks eg. ASOS when it was under £4 level.

US inflation is already at less than 4% with probably one more interest rate rise in the horizon - not later today hopefully. But their equity markets are looking much stronger than a year ago. UK turn next hopefully!

Perhaps UK market is now turning the corner! We have seen the worst of inflation (sticky as they say) that is gradually coming down with interest rates as high as it was in 2007. If BOE does not raise interest rate tomorrow (most likely), it could possibly mark the end of interest rate rises? Who knows! But suddenly UK could look investable with prime focus on growth companies.

My only hope is it will spike one morning at open by 20-25% for all the pain we have gone through over the last few months/ years in case of ex PMO holders. That will mark the end of the bottom hopefully

Slightly inept as to why they didn't bother to check who were releasing their TU today before publishing their own TU date. Anyway, hoping it is nothing more than that as have seen Amazon moving their earnings dates before too. But, does that mean not many will be reporting next week on Asos's TU day and we will centre of attention!

It will go up like before when MA sells February 24 puts. Could be this week if not today given the price at these levels

Inflation data, interest rate decision and Next results this week so lots of data that can move this before results.

So far, it looks good but I am wary of the shorters who probably will try to bring it down. Ocado was one of the highest shorted stock in UK just couple of months ago.

Also, inflation data out tomorrow and interest rate decision on Thursday will set the tone. Perhaps, that is what is holding Ocado's upside momentum today.

Yes, basket size did reduce by 3.9% but that was by only 1 item (45 to 44), however the basket value increased by 4.2% (£116 to £121). That in my view is very positive.

Revenue, customer size, order size, etc all grown in the quarter which is what I was expecting. Very positive RNS in my view. Ticked all the boxes and should see a steady climb today hopefully

How come the reduction in such a large short position has not impacted SP positively? There should have been a spike on Friday but all we saw is drifting down from high of 260p to 255p close approx.

Depreciation and amortisation are non cash items and can be projected even before results are out.

It is EBITDA that is more important than anything else as it shows how the business has been performing, hence the rise to 1000p + in last update. I am focusing more on that and probably the market too. Not long now!

Not sure if you have been paying attention or read H1 report, Ocado had EBITDA of +£17m in H1 2023. I see +ve EBITDA with a much higher number tomorrow for the quarter.
