Using Volvo internal documents as a source, they give a figure of 28% for the fuel energy that disappears down the exhaust and 38 % comes out as shaft power. So, using your 1000 HP equivalent engine of 735 kW shaft power that would suggest there is 542 kW of fuel energy available somewhere in the exhaust system, which includes your unburnt fuel energy.

As I have said several times, there is a massive amount of thermal energy available in an average family saloon exhaust system, it isn’t in dispute. What is disputed and written deliberately to confuse, by In-spirit, is what is actually producing 34 kW, 64 kW or 131 kW.

Is it the Stirling engine ? Now that would be just plain daft. Why, because the Charger Stirling, was 65% of the Volvo WHR application as stated by In-spirit. Their Stirling is only designed for 20 kW of energy input! What is going to happen when 542 kW of heat energy is rammed into it ? Also, there has been no mention of a new alternator design to output 131 kW. I think a typical car alternator outputs 14.3 V at around 80 A = 1.144 kW. Look at the size of a car alternator and consider an alternator that has to be roughly 149 times bigger i.e. 131 kW/ 1.144 = 149.

Fit that into the in-spirit Stirling !

I’m completely confident that when In-spirit state our "target is 131 kW" then it cannot be for the Stirling engine they stated was 65 % compatible for the Volvo application. Since they explicitly stated that using the Charger Stirling engine would save time in the design and development stage for the Volvo application then that is not in dispute.

I contend that the WHR UNIT is simply the ‘box’ that collects the heat from the exhaust i.e. a glorified heat exchanger. I have also stated a couple of times that anyone can pump a car exhaust into a metal box and say our WHR UNIT is producing x,y or z output kW, it is meaningless. and unscientific.

In-spirit are happy to let people like you confuse investors even more, hyping up their suggestions and allowing false assumptions to propagate to their benefit - deliberately or not.

Just about as vague as you can get. What were the reliability and performance expectations?

ONE hour tests, a whole ONE hour that bodes well for any reliability and performance assessment. Buyers will be clamouring for a WHR system that perform for an hour !!

Note also it is WHR UNIT and not the system nor is it the WHR application.

Even the rampers have deserted this ship with their makebelieve posts.

Well want can be said, another hard week of toil by the brilliant hard working engineering teams.

During the period, the Group continued to advance its microCHP boiler and marine engine application with its European partners. To this end, improvements to the design of the Group's Stirling engine technology, including output of 6.4kW, progressed further with the simplification as part of the 'design for manufacture' process and meeting the challenges in new technology development, sourcing cheaper materials and efficiency re-redesign. All these factors resulted in further DELAYS TO THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS although we hope to progress forward with a higher output and cheaper cost base product later his year.

And how did that work out 6 years go. Gosh you guys are good at this guessing game. Your correct again .... it never happened.

Of course the money was never seen again. Come to think of it the same for the accreditation and field trials.

No one knows because there are no updates, possibly there are no other projects actually being worked on - just a few sketches and dreams scribbled on a few sheets of paper.

A typical example of the amateurish and incorrect waffle pumped out by In-spirit.

The author obviously has no grasp of what the Charger is and what the latest WHR applications are about.

The Charger, as every investor here knows, is the 'boiler' - it burns gas as fuel to create heated water and electricity.

Obviously WHR applications use, as their energy source, waste heat that would normally be lost to the environment.

The common element is the Stirling engine, its input stage requiring a different method to apply energy to the Stirling.

The brilliant engineering minds at In-spirit are perhaps not that brilliant
