If it see dms with valeo.....will we get a contract or licence agreement?

The safestocks article in 2018 mentions the company being quiet for a long time....well there has not been any news for a while so maybe they are talking to valeo if its see dms.

That would require a licence or a contract would it not?

The one thing that bothered me is that the valeo guy made a specific point of stating 'our dms'.

You are welcome to do that if you have licensed the product....I get that.

But without that being in place then I think its rash to assume that's it see dms just because omg has said they were working with valeo before.

And ofcourse, the concern would be that it will take business away from magna. It's obviously concerning that magna have not announced any wins or business also.

Challenges were always going to come I suppose and maybe that's why see are not shouting from the rooftops with PR like a lot of shareholders want them too.

I'm hoping it will have too in Europe given the regs but maybe it's because dms is not mandated in america yet so it's not so bad.

Looks like theres a lot of people who dont think the Valeo is our dms.

In response to the colin barnden post that director did say their own dms so it's a mystery.

We really need to hear some news from Magna, that's well over one year since the agreement and not much apart from some exhibitions.

Reference the valeo news....if its SEE dms, does anyone have a view if this would constitute a design win or a collaboration?

As it stands, it's not an oem and not for a specific model so I guess it would be a collaboration but would we be told....even if it is our dms, would valeo allow us to announce it?

Well Paul mc gave it the thumbs up and so has a few SEE engineers but you just dont know if they are being gracious and complementing the tech.

I cant find anything linking See to Valeo but I found the aftermarket rns with mobileye.

I have read on here that some believe mobileye will create their own dms so is this more likely to be direct competition to magna?

Magna have already had at least a year start but theres been no update....i hope they dont have to go back to the drawing board to catch up now.

I suppose the good news would be that this will almost certainly confirm a new contract with Magna when the times comes but it would be nice for SEE to update the market in the meantime.

Their putting a lot of progress on twitter and linked-in so let's hope this translates into market news soon.
