A lot of buying today, edging towards that 3p !

Frustrating to see us still sub 3p after CPO has risen so high, and on top we're looking close to an annual record production. Once this starts turning a profit again, along with all the growth potential now in progress, and the cost cutting potential of the green energy, this should really be >8p

Sounds like they are thinking of using at least some of the excess power generated to do more food processing at Ayenuon "on the cheap" and grow the business more. I read that as further diversification possibilities. Interesting.

PS I had jumped the gun and assumed DKL would own the biomass sector, and be segregated off from the solar, however Rugs has pointed out last night the venture is 50/50, so although I believe the biomass calcs are reasonable in terms of value and kW hr, it doesn't account for the solar benefit, and it would also need divvy'ing up with the JV partner.

Last point.... We are using roughly 3 MW so again call it 12 million kW hrs, however industrial power costs ~0.185 USD / kW hr so eliminating that could save near 2 million USD / year.... so all in all might be 3.5 million USD better off (assuming my fag packet calcs are anywhere near reality)

making a further leap...……..power costs in IC are ~ 0.12 USD / kW hr (making a sweeping assumption we see 0.1 USD similar for production into the grid)

We should be good for generating 3 MW to grid, equal to circa 12 million kW hrs (based on 330 days a year power production and 12 hours a day). That's good for 1.2 mill USD for sale back to the grid (using my guess at price paid to us for kw hr)

Lots of ifs and buts in that calc, so a large % error both + and - , but interesting nonetheless.

although I probably missed off ancillary power use too as didn't trawl through the article (call it 1 MW at a guess)

the installation uses a lot of power (but that stage is behind us), looking at this a 30T TBS/hour mill uses approx. 750 kW, so extrapolation a 60T mill would be roughly 1,500 kw (1.5 MW), so by my calcs that would leave 4.5 MW (call it 3-4 MW to err on the side of caution) to be sold back to the grid.

anyway have a grasp on the energy consumption of our mill? If they are producing 6 MW from bio fuel, just wondering how much of that will be sold to the grid

to be fair £14,600 buys against 700 odd quid, whilst maybe not staggering is fairly good buying here ….long may it continue

excuse the jibberish in the first paragraph, wrote it then edited and made a mess of it...but you get the jist.

to be fair, its a fairly common practise to buy a tranche (however big) and then sell at 10-15% profit. If I had done that, I did it myself back up at 10-15p, and would be significantly better off if I kept doing it....I just got caught with my pants down on the fall below 9p.

There are investors like those in this long term, and traders who play the markets according to trends and fundamentals (such as CPO price). Impossible to tell if its a singular / repeat holder selling into strength, or if its just a combo of people bailing / traders profit taking etc etc. Probably in reality a combo of all of the above.

Either way - "dumper dude" is a convenient way of venting frustration lol ;oD

another good tranche or purchases today, I'm a little surprised its not risen further.....but I guess that depends on what those ambiguous large trades on Friday actually were
