PS FWIW, assuming the overheads are broadly similar to 2017, breakeven on my calcs is pretty much 550 bucks... but it does assume overheads don't shift, which they do (by how much I'm not sure).

The break even is not easy to calculate... the price we pay small holders for fruit changes depending on how much they have to sell , so there is no set "breakeven" it changes all the time. I've done some basic calcs, and if the CPO settles as is for Q4, and we have production over 5kT I think we have a fighting chance of a profit for the annum, but it's tight IMO .... that said there's so much uncertainty in the calcs I could be way off. There was a poster on this board who nailed the prediction of breakeven for Q2, so whoever that was is the man in the know.... can't recall who that was, but he wasn't a name I was familiar with.

Closing in on 700 dollars for Rotterdam prices. Bear in mind this is peak season for Asian producers, so this should be the trough in prices!

b@gger my mistake the cancelled 1.94p trade was independent of the 1.91p trade ...and is also back on at 1.94p....hence the sagging SP price.

I'm with you JK... past week or two has seen a near 30% rise in CPO, coupled with the vastly under valued stock which hasn't increased at all on the back of it. Probably just reached a critical mass and each buy attracted more? Mind you could be an orchestrated group buying, or one of the major stakeholders looking to increase their holding (expect an RNS if that is the case)

Rotterdam prices are now pretty much 650 dollars! Bearing in mind the prediction was of 620 dollars in early 2020 away from peak season for Malaysia et al. Also DKL are typically a premium to Rotterdam (or at least they were - is this still the case?)
