Isn't this principally the same thing.... shareholders removing CEO and adjusting the board. At the end of the day shareholders own the company, surely if enough of the large holders get together they can motion a vote, and if over 50% of vote rights is held by the group, basically do what they want? Personally I "try" and avoid reacting mini market movements and MM's little games. For me I'm more interested in fundamentals. I don't always get it right, but for me this SP has appeal now POO is so high... if they can get the development sorted soon, and get the OPEX down were golden here IMO.... it's not without risk, but low risk shares have less potential reward.

If we are now to be expecting oil lifts every 2 months, that works out around 350,000-400,000 pounds gross profit after OPEX expenses depending on POO , and that now seems it should be a regular income stream (barring mechanical issues).

I'm with getcarter, doesn't take too much to shift it up to 0.50p, just as shame we can't seem to string together a rally to keep it there...... we need SO to give us those detailed plans and his promised puff pieces.

I don't think the small scalers can afford to get it done properly.... or at least if they could I would have expected a much more stable fruit bunch delivery rather than varying wildly as we have been.

Yep and poor photo bought in at a fairly high SP so is hurting with a loss, so I think we can maybe forgive him feeling a little down. Think we only had a lifting a few weeks ago (end of March I think) Bermo so I would be a little surprised to see another so soon. You never know though!

I also think getting Guitry up and running should help mitigate as it spreads the risk a bit.... there is a surprising variation in weather from West IC to South East IC, so I think guilty may have a subtly different climate to ayenouan. Also having a large single field there should in theory enable some form of irrigation if necessary (?).

TBH I think DKLs strategy works very well when times are good, but having hundreds of different suppliers limits your ability to mitigate tough environmental times such as drought. Old TT alluded to it, I.e. if you own a huge field you can arrange irrigation, if there are hundreds of small suppliers they prob can't irrigate (?). I think the best mitigation is to stockpile when the goings good - which is basically what they have done......now they have increased throughput capacity, what we really need is a few good quarters strung together to restock the stockpiles (hopefully larger stockpiles this time due to higher throughput).... but that's kind of in the lap of the weather gods. Q2 looks like it's potentially better from weather data I can gather ATM.... I'll keep an eye on it. I'm hoping to be able to come up with a reasonable prediction model based on cocoa farmers weather comments.... time will tell whether it works or not.

Final point from my research, as far as I can tell the main suspected effect of heavy rain is to dilute the oil yields, but I can't find any evidence of negative effects on fruit bunch numbers. As we've been seeing low fruit bunch numbers I think that's probably due to low rain.... this is potentially also corroborated by news articles to that effect in Q1 (although seemingly not by the rainfall data on that link). My gut tells me the data in that link is poor quality, and rainfall is the key parameter. I'm hopeful with the good rain they've had so far in Q2 the fruit bunch numbers should rise (quite what the percent oil yields will be I'm.not sure).
