This was written off repeatedly, right from the "thimble of oil" days. Lots have been scared away, and never looked back. All of a sudden it's on TV producing oil. A WTF moment for many who believed the derampers (do you own research guys!), and an introduction to many who had never heard the story.

Fortunately it seems one of those scared off and now returned has deep pockets.

I don't think a drop will be needed, weak holders will flush themselves as their buy in is reached, there will be many who took a punt, know little about the company and the prospects, and just want out with their money back.

Many multiples. That's got 10 bagger written all over it to me! In terms of oil production, we could easily be at 10x current output some time next year. Also once the reserves are "proved" the MCap rises in value, from 10% of the oil in the ground to 40% if I recall correctly.

The upside is potentially massive. Shame for the shorters / spread betters / swing traders / whatever*form*of*parasite*you*prefer, as the downside was always limited!

Agree Heid. There will be many along the way getting to their break even and heading for the door, and you can't blame them. They may take a little profit, but many will just be happy to get their money back and get the hell out of dodge.

No, the published and common knowledge forward program has had Arreton drillinq Q1 202 and test production Q2 2020 since the 18 Jan 2019.

The RNS of 12 Dec 2018 said "the first Arreton appraisal well, Arreton-3, is now scheduled to be drilled, cored and tested in the first quarter of 2020, with the drilling of the larger look-alike Arreton South exploration prospect planned to follow after completion of Arreton-3 flow testing. We look forward to starting the journey towards realising the Isle of Wight Licence's considerable conventional oil resource potential."

Looks like some IoW swampies are already starting to stir up trouble, so perhaps publicity is a double edged sword.
