oakleak - I'm talking solar roofs, not solar panels, but even then with advances in battery tech and and EV efficiency it won't be long before a decent array of solar panels will be sufficient. Even in the UK; the latest panels will charge, albeit at reduced levels, 25-33%, even on a cloudy day. Direct sunlight is not required.

111baker gets it. Musks solar roof tiles are in production now, in California new builds have to have solar roofs from the get go. Microgrids are the way forward for those that still don't get it and are banging on, irrelevantly, about grid capacity.

The old top down big burner power station grid will be phased out (see what I did there?) in favour of connected micro grids, any of which may be either consumers or suppliers. Supplement with standby battery storage like the 100MW battery Musk installed in Aus (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/sep/27/south-australias-tesla-battery-on-track-to-make-back-a-third-of-cost-in-a-year) to smooth out any nett deficiencies and the number of power stations dwindles. A solar roofed house will generate enough power to run an EV as well as the household needs, even in the UK.

Concentrating on "grid" requirements to support EVs gives away a degree of ignorance on the entire subject. It's akin to saying that when smartphones took off the landline phone network was poorly positioned to cope with bandwidth increases.

Slow - yeah - that would be because of licence and permissions. Permission for operations ran out when it did, getting permissions is not an overnight process. There were already permissions in place as HH. Not all of them, the additional wells are still going through of course, when SSC can be bothered. The great think is that UKOG have options, and if planned correctly there will always be somewhere to move on to. Not a one hit wonder.

Equally odd is people who [presumably] research a company before making an investment, then post "advice" here telling the BoD and CEO what they should be doing when decisions are made they don't agree with. If they fail to perform as you expected then re-evaluate your investment and if necessary sell up and move on.

And Tellurian have a substantial stake in HHDL, and are themselves 23% owned by Total - a major last time I looked.

Horizontal wells are those typically at more than 80 degrees to the vertical, but do usually have a measurable inclination (or declination) - expressed as the build rate. Horizontal wells can be drilled to produce from multiple layers.
