ZEN was proposing flowing the Mengo now (schlumberger Perforation) to keep AAOG&ZEN going at 800 bopd and planning for new well for Djeno. I do not see anything wrong with that. I wonder why the AAOG management did not do that. In my opinion I think that SNPC call the shots.

Tiburn: How can you be sure that Forum will develop the field. They never said anything in the past
regarding this issue while Zenith said they are trying to develop fields in many places. Forum is an
investment outfit and not an oil co. Also ZEN have an Arabic name Zena and I wonder if they have deep
pocket from gulf area.

The way I see it is as follows: CPI log gives porosity. Correlation of porosity Vs Permeability must have been already available from the surrounding fields. So you can calculate Permeability. Now you can calculate flow capacity (KH) which is permeability multiplied by pay thickness. The well flowrate is a function of KH and pressure drop across the sand face (Pr-Pw). Pr , the reservoir pressure is found during logging and Pw you can calculate from wellhead pressure and vertical height to sand face and the anticipated oil gradient

Can another reservoir engineer cofirm or discard the above.

With horizontal well one can double or triple flowrate.

"this well is using the latest directional drilling technology as well as using the latetes extraction techniques in mengo horizon which wasn't available at the time when the well was previously drilled". CEO was talking about hitting sweet spot and hence horizontal well.

In other post there was hint of Djeno as being porous and string was pulled out of hole (presumably for logging).
