The way I see it is as follows: CPI log gives porosity. Correlation of porosity Vs Permeability must have been already available from the surrounding fields. So you can calculate Permeability. Now you can calculate flow capacity (KH) which is permeability multiplied by pay thickness. The well flowrate is a function of KH and pressure drop across the sand face (Pr-Pw). Pr , the reservoir pressure is found during logging and Pw you can calculate from wellhead pressure and vertical height to sand face and the anticipated oil gradient
Can another reservoir engineer cofirm or discard the above.
