Question: does ZPHR have 100% of Cane Creek or some and what smaller proportion?

I bought the stock a couple of months ago, kicking myself for not buying years ago after using the excellent TransferWise to send cash to my sister abroad. I'm no expert but I know that in the US, CEOs get far more control and a much bigger share of the pie than ordinary holders vs in the UK. I welcome this challenge. V good piece by Patrick Hosking in The Times today makes it clear that Hinrikus knows whereof he speaks. Secondarily, fintech companies can thrive here and reward shareholders too - London has a great network and support infrastructure for them. For me Wall Street signals much less shareholder influence.

Hinrikus is no fool - he set up an angel-investing business with stakes in 150+ disruptive start-ups and has net $1.3bn (est by Forbes).

Two paragraphs in The Times stand out, though do read it in full:

"Through a mix of A shares and voteheavy B shares, Kaarmann owns an 18.2 per cent economic interest in the company, but 54.7 per cent of the voting power, though this is capped at 49.9 per cent. Hinrikus owns an economic stake of 5.1 per cent, and 11.8 per cent of the votes...

"Concerns about the governance of Wise have already been highlighted after Kaarmann was named as a deliberate tax defaulter by HM Revenue & Customs after failing to pay a tax bill in 2017-18 and fined £366,000. He explained he fell behind with his paperwork. He was then fined £350,000 last year after an investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority over his fitness to run a big financial institution, but no further action was taken."

Do we really need three top-tier stockbrokers ... and three PR/IR firms? Must cost a bomb, and the competing advice is surely a nightmare to interpret and act on or reject. J D Wetherspoon (I know - different sector) has none of these so far as I can see, yet everyone undersands its strategy.

I'm new to this company and correct me if I'm wrong (I may well be) but is the key product is AxisBiotix-Ps, is it aimed at consumers, through e.g. Superdrug, aimed primarily at new, younger customers, and if so, shouldn't it be all over social media, especially Insta and perhaps TikTok, with engaging, witty content, updated at least daily, with lots of interaction from its audience? Thanks.

As a long-term holder, I've no interest in this company being acquired, and I suspect those urging a takeover are recent, opportunistic buyers.

Perhaps if the RNS said payments has been 'made' or 'paid' rather than 'triggered'? Not sure what the word means.

Side point but why do people say 'do your own research'? This is a great forum for reading the room, but anyone who based their investment investment decisions on BB chatter deserves what's coming.

Interesting to note Colin's comment that the many congratulations all came from the US rather than UK where presumably most stock is held. I feel this BoD has kept the co going to this exciting stage where your typical British management would've sunk the business and left with payoffs. Sometimes to be said for con-do American approach.

I don't want anyone bidding for this company for a good while yet.

This one should definitely stay British. UK tech pioneers being picked off when they prove a success is a long-term recipe for national economic and IP decline.
