I was interested in some of the comments here. My knowledge of world stock markets is sadly lacking but I was wondering why an American company chose to list on the London stock exchange. There must be advantages. It’s not something I’ve thought much about before. Is it easy for American investors to buy via London? I guess it must be.

Something that tells me that Covid really does exist, is the fact that my wife and I are at home suffering with it. We've had our jabs so we're not too bad but it's not my favourite time.
I'm relaxed about NCYT's prospects. I can't change anything so I might as well give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm looking forward to the forthcoming presentation.
I can understand DA wanting to keep the spotlight off what he's been doing over the last 6 months. But when he reveals the strategy on Thursday I hope it will prove to be worth the wait.

As people have been saying, a bit of positive publicity makes a big difference. A long way to go yet though.

I've only been buying shares for the past two years (trying to get away from low interest bearing building society accounts - that now sound wonderful compared to my nosediving share prices). Of the shares I have held, I can only remember one RNS that has actually caused the share price to rise. Any hint of caution in an RNS is a recipe for another drop in share prices. The recent HEMO CBR RNS was really positive but does the market discount any RNS that doesn't suggest positive financial benefits in e.g. the next six months? I guess Vlad thinks he can just concentrate on the science and the share price will look after itself. In theory that makes sense, but he needs to charm the markets so they know that the prospects could be wonderful in the next year or two - or however long it takes. I worry that the markets are too focussed on the short term outlook.

Like you, Mr. India, I wish I hadn't invested. My HEMO stocks are actually less terrible than my ABDX and NCYT shares, but that is little comfort when I'm way down in total. I'm looking at it as though I'd put my money into a 1 or 2 year savings account. Nothing is going to happen in the near future as far as I can see but hopefully the longer term should be brighter. It's a paper loss until I sell and I don't want to realise a big loss. So patience is the word for today for me. I don't blame JHFH for taking a break. His insights have been so useful but there is nothing new for him to add at the moment, other than rehash the same things. You can still access his previous comments in the chat section. They give you hope if nothing else.

Just a question regarding the share targets for the LTIP. How much control do you think the BoD have over the share price? If the company performs really well and they communicate well, then the share price should reflect that. But do AIM shares behave unpredictably? The current low share price is unreasonable and maybe the previous highs were too. I guess I'm hoping for the company to do the business and for the market to behave!

That £62k sell looked a bit odd. 40,000 shares Bid price 157.05, Ask 159.95 but they traded at 155.0 giving the £62,000.
I never did understand these trades.

I quieter board can be a good thing sometimes. I used to attend meetings that went on far too long with people talking incessantly. We then tried to impose the rule of "if you've got nothing to say, then please don't say it". It didn't always work though!
It's really annoying on here when people are attacking each other. Let's stick to sharing information that's useful to us shareholders.

It's a very attractive share price to add to my NCYT share collection. Or it would be if I had unlimited funds. I've put more than enough money on to the stock market and Novacyt in particular. So I think I need to sit this "dip" out and wait for better times. I'm confident that there will be better times.

I'm one of the sufferers too. I started the year £1,000 down on my portfolio, of NCYT, ABDX and HEMO. Now I'm £33,000 down in the space of a month, mostly due to NCYT. I don't think I'd get a job as a financial advisor! I don't shout abuse at DA or Novacyt , or rubbish DA's interview. We are where we are. I can't afford to lose £33,000, but I'm not losing any sleep over it just yet. If the ridiculous AIM market can lose me that much in a month for not very convincing reasons, then it can turn it all around at a later date. This BB has some really useful contributions. DRB83 and several others do a great job analysing the figures and provide the insights into the company. With the general lack of company information it's like piecing together a jigsaw. Trying to guess what the share price will do as a result, is anyone's guess. If you get it right, I think you're just lucky. I sympathise with everyone suffering their losses. WBAFC must be distraught. Haven't heard from him/her for a while. Hope they are okay.

The stock market generally seems to be down today. All my shareholdings are definitely down. I'm looking for positive news from NCYT when they release their update. I'd like to wipe out my paper losses if nothing else. To have the opportunity to make a profit would be great, but it would be more satisfying to receive good solid reasons why I should remain a LTH. So that guidance on 2022 will be so important.

I've seen a few people suggest that if the BOD allow the share price to become ridiculously low, then the private investors would leave. I couldn't afford to sell at a big loss. If they want to get rid of me, a high price is more appealing. I still patiently wait for that high price. I've had mine for about 9 months now and a few more months won't worry me too much. If we've bought at too high a price, that is our problem rather than the BOD, but I agree they could be more communicative.

I agree that some communication from DA would have been nice. I'm not sure if I want him to spend all his days worrying about the share price and whether we are making a profit on the back of their hard work. We do stand a risk of losing our money if the company went out of business but the normal way for rewarding that risk is paying a dividend on profits earned. This is an exciting and developing company and market. I've accepted that the next bit of news will be at the end of the month and will wait and see. I really hope DA is doing a good job. It takes time for things to develop, so we have to give him and his team time and trust they are doing their best. Hopefully we will profit from their hard work. I'm not looking to vote him out at the AGM. I just look forward to a good report and accounts.

Well done for that really sensible post Hillseeker. It's nice to see a balanced and well thought out post. None of us can accurately predict the future but there are grounds for us to be very optimistic.

Like others, I'm invested in ABDX and HEMO. I think ABDX should be a good bet. This DHSC dispute is really holding us back. People seem to be counting on £8m coming in from them. I'm not sure what to expect if it doesn't arrive. But I'm still staying positive but need a touch of realism too.

If we get a successful resolution to the DHSC dispute, that should provide a real boost to both the company and the share price. If the resolution is negative, the accounts in theory have it all provided for anyway, but would it generate negative sentiment to the share price? Nobody knows for sure, but I wondered what people thought.

I wonder how many angry emails they receive from private investors each day? I wouldn't expect them to "open up", to everyone who writes to them.
They should welcome constructive feedback but whoever receives the deluge of emails at Novacyt will just think we are all a bunch of moaners. They should share information via RNS's whenever they can, and we have to show patience when they can't. Nothing we say will change anything!

I enjoy reading the posts on this group, but I find this "Porky is DRB" joke wearing a bit thin now. DRB83's contributions are well thought out and helpful. When you're underwater it's encouraging to have regular reminders that the company should have a bright future and that in time the share price should reach a more acceptable level. Becoming bitter about our paper losses doesn't do us any good.

Hi alamo55. I think the ABDX accounts RNS just said they looked forward to the conclusion of the DHSC dispute. They had held some constructive talks, but that doesn't give any real indication how long the whole process will take and what the outcome will be. It needs resolving that's for sure.

@Mr. India. I thought about averaging down. Whilst it's good to see a lower average holding cost, I came to the conclusion I've put enough into these turkeys. If you can afford to put more in, then all well and good, but otherwise it just needs us to be exercising great patience. Let's hope it won't be too long before our rewards come - but I fear that it might take a year or two.
