You have a group of investors who all want their investments to go well for them. The forum is there to ask questions, share information, speculate on what the future might hold, discuss alternative viewpoints, and when it goes wrong, share some frustrations. We could do that in a friendly and constructive manner. But macho attitudes soon surface and someone displaying a different point of view has to be challenged and if they don’t back down, then weeks of arguments follow.

Just ignore all that. There are some really good posts from constructive people. Focus on the good and don’t get too involved with the argumentative ones. For them, the argument is the all important thing and is usually of no consequence.

With all this competitive to and fro discussion, why don't we just wait for the 27 days (or whatever it is) and see where we are then. I can show patience wait for the facts, rather than getting upset with someone has a different point of view.

The only advantage of holding the AGM on Zoom is that it is more accessible to a greater number of people. The disadvantage is that they can stage manage how the AGM is handled and ensure no angry questions. We need the BoD to make the company succeed then we would be delighted to give them a good pay rise, if that meant our share price was performing well too.

NCYT is my biggest investment and biggest disaster. I need an increase of 600% to breakeven. I'm hoping my lower investment in HEMO is going to come good and cover my NCYT losses. No point selling NCYT shares at this price. I got into share trading by the thought that shares go up and shares go down. I hadn't thought that through very well. Some shares just keep going down.

I'm very positive about HEMO's short and long term future, but our forum is full of speculation (much of it very useful indeed), but none of us completely knows what the future holds. Preparing for IND has taken longer. I guess the message is to not go too crazy when we believe something good is about to happen, and be patient if it just takes a little longer. The signs are very promising though.

Like ValJu, using LSE on my iPhone is really annoying, with all the adverts popping up. Kaeren inferred she had an app on her phone. I couldn't see one in the App Store. My laptop is better. The adverts are still there but not preventing me from reading the forum comments.

Having a lot of investors with small shareholdings must be a bit of an administrative nightmare when you need to get resolutions passed at an AGM. Is it 5% they need? not sure. A few large scale investors makes the task easier.
I'm trying to remain positive about the forthcoming presentation. According to the law of averages, something good must happen occasionally. When all the previous RNS's appear we usually put our hard hats on and dive for cover.

At least we should get some news next week. I'm not getting too excited about it, but it will provide us with a more up to date view on how things are progressing. I need £3 a share to break even. That might take a long time to achieve.

I just bought 346,432 shares and they show as a sell. It said the buy price was 2.10 but when I placed the order it was for 2.067. As the sell price was 2.05 I can understand the system getting confused. It's a shame it can't access a field that says buy or sell.

I'd like to see lots of RNS's pinging out from HEMO, but if there is a delay, then after April 6th, with the SP being low, I can swap my remaining Fund & Share account shares into my ISA. Even then I'm happy to wait for news. We hope everything will work like clockwork, but life and industry isn't always like that.

My percentage losses are similar to yours, PI100. I put £42k in and now it’s worth £9k. I think you’re investment was very much lower but it’s still hard to take.
The lack of information isn’t surprising to me. Everything will be deemed to be market sensitive and in the 2 years I’ve been holding NCYT shares I can’t actually remember a RNS that caused the SP to increase all that much. I can’t see the business from the directors perspective. I don’t know what the market is. Do we have good products that nobody wants or do we have good products that nobody knows we have available. I have said before that it may take 2 years to sort things out but it’s hard waiting. I can’t blame the directors if I don’t understand the issues they are facing. Maybe it really just takes time to turn this company around. The DHSC aren’t actually helping us, are they!
Best not to get too stressed about it, unless you desperately need the money now.

Christo4. What is the advantage of discussing ABDX on Telegram rather than on LSE?
I've never used Telegram, so I genuinely don't know anything about it. There seems to be so little news on ABDX for any forum to discuss. Having said that, I was pleased to see the link between Lloyds Pharmacy and Abingdon tests. That was positive at least.

I'm not sure if the stock market is anticipating a good trading update or whether they just realised that Mandy was back in the office, after her extended break. It was today wasn't it?

I would agree that people posting on here shouldn't have any real effect on a share price. But there again, if there are a lot of negative comments, usually making the same points over and over again, it must put people off from investing. If more people invested then the share price should be higher. So if that is true, then the negative comments are affecting the share price.
If I'm looking to invest in a different company, I should just do my own research but I'm lazy and read these forums instead. Sometimes it works and sometimes it backfires. NCYT after showing early promise backfired for me. But I'm still hanging in there and waiting patiently for things to improve. All good things come to those who wait, I hope!

I would be very surprised if a takeover was being suggested before the outcome of the DHSC court case was known. Unless a company was desperate to get our products and R&D knowledge. They'd have to build the settlement into any valuation of the company. It's an interesting one to ponder, but I can't see it just yet.

I've always been quite impressed with James McCarthy as Finance Director. He has to handle some really boring stuff in his finance/company secretary role! It's impossible for us to know if he is the right man to be the CEO. I hope he is. And I hope the Peter Principle doesn't apply here (the principle that members of a hierarchy are promoted until they reach the level at which they are no longer competent). If he is struggling with the role and and added responsibilities I hope he has the common sense to tell James Wakefield to hurry up and find someone more suitable. A CEO needs to have vision for a business and to inspire the other board members and senior managers to achieve their potential. That's not within everyone's skill set. We wish JM well.

You would have to query why NCYT are spending money on R&D and claim to be a first responder, if this doesn't eventually translate into turnover on the P&L a/c. We would love to be a fly on the wall in some of the board meetings, but we are on the outside speculating what's happening inside. And we just don't know what is happening or what the issues are, that the BoD face. The trading update due later this month might give us an indication but they are keeping everything close to their chest. I still think it will take a couple of years to see anything exciting happening here.
Things can change. I have some shares in HEMO and they are going bonkers in a good way. I was way down on my investment there, but now in surplus. Maybe something similar one day will happen here. I hope so for all our sakes.

A lot of people lose huge amounts of money on shares after picking up on the enthusiasm from other posters on LSE.
When you press the button to buy shares you need to stop and think. It this goes wrong, what does that do to me?
We can only blame ourselves for being gullible and greedy sometimes. It's such an easy way to make good money, if it all works out. Let the buyer beware! But lets hope that HEMO is one of the good examples of profitability. I'm still under water here but hoping for some air to breathe.
