Simon/deemule you seem to have a hang up about your own nationality for some reason. If it was up to me I would call the leaders of Scotland and Irelands bluff and give them independence. Scotland based their original financial claims on North Sea Oil. I see they have never mentioned that over the last few years. Take away the Barnet formulae which subsidises them from Westminster and they would soon become a banana republic. As for Wales' what a clown they have running the show. Their health service and other services are an object lesson in how not to run a country. We English would be far better off without the fiscal drag that they weigh us down with. And the irony is they both would want to use our currency.

Deemule.....how wrong you are. I have never posted anywhere other than LSE under Persimmon or any other name. The greatest difference between us is that I tell matters as I find them. I have spoken before about politics, religion and ethnicity. But I will repeat just for others who may not have heard me before. I believe the UK was right to leave the EU, mainly to get rid of governments every few years if we want to.. and rule ourselves. I have no problem whatever with the colour of a persons skin (sorry NVG). I am an atheist, but the only religion I despise is the one of so called 'peace'. As for LGBT etc just let them get on with it. I do not want it ramming in my face continuously by a minority of people. I trust in democracy but it seems that the minority again do not. These 'entitled' individuals who have never had the word No whispered in their ears as youngsters cannot hack it.

Odins, you are lucky compared with many including myself. I admit my own holding is down more than 75%, yet far less than some who are tens of thousands of pounds down. The way the company has treated its shareholders for years now is beneath contempt. Anyone purchasing nowadays should in my opinion be certified.
