Spec, I don't disagree with you - just trying to compare and contrast it with other hi-tech companies in that, compared to most of those, it could be argued to be undervalued on a purely relative basis. However, assuming they are all grossly overvalued (which personally I think the majority are, and indeed are a bubble waiting to pop), where does that leave it? I'm not sure tbh... Not a roaring buy on any sort of fundamental basis anyway. I'll take my chances and wait.

Spec - agree, partly. I do like the background 'story' to VRS, have been a shareholder on and off (currently 'off') and think it probably has an interesting life ahead of it and even at £250m it's probably a better bet than most of the US tech co's. The amount of money recently flowing into tech start ups is mindboggling. In 2010 there were 5 unicorns - ie private starts up with a market value more than 1 billion - none of them survived. Today there are 250 - none of them particularly well known. That can only go one way. Not all of them can be the next Google. Is VRS a potential unicorn? It does have a physical product we can point to, touch and feel, but at £250m with no profits and precious little cashflow to point to, touch or feel, I think the scope for it to trip up along the way is pretty wide. And that may well be the time to pile back in. So i won't be pressing the 'go' button on my Primary Bid account this weekend.

NH - (and Cast, MMaF, Lee, Yrab, 2p, Ian and all the other lths here) - agree - should be any day now. What a shenanigans though! The Blueberry news is not insignificant either - II involvement can only be positive and having looked at that project closely myself I don't think we can blame them for taking their time, it's going to be a monster.

Funding Circle - not sure - it's a busy sector that, already seen some struggle (Ratesetter etc) but then again others seem to do ok eg Archover (like their model which involves risk insurance for lenders).

NH - if you mean CRA/RP yea i saw that - to be fair it looks like the issues there may be pre-RP legacy problems, but you'd have thought he'd have kicked the tyres before taking it on. Just like he did with Crede and Bracknor at the V. Oh, wait....lol. It also looks a bit like the funder has them over a barrel. I actually like RP on a personal level and respect his general sector experience etc, but CRA's a bargepole job imho.
Re the V itself I had a long chat to AP the other day (mostly about the other 'BP' which i chucked a bit of loot at) - 100% certain that the L will be granted, but I get the impression it's black or red as to whether it turns up by next Weds. Those Rom mandarin boys certainly know a good prevarication opportunity when they see one! Somebody posted the other day something like: AP rocks up at ANRM next Weds and says "Where's my licence then?" They say "who the f#ck are you? Ah yes! You're the lad who messed up his application form! You'll have to resubmit it!". It's a dilemma. It's a pity because BP is a relatively small component now, but try telling the market that. And I still think that even 'that' RNS will have limited impact. V is one of those share where one day, we'll look at our screens, and the sp will be 1.2 or something - with no RNS and on the basis of nothing new at all. We can live in hope!

He/she's been buying in dribs and drabs for ages. I stupidly took some of the placing recently (at 12.5p) against my own better judgement and predictably got hammered - I'm no tree-hugger but having done a bit of digging (after buying the shares lol) don't feel comfortable about their environmental/ecological credentials - (allegedly) chopping too-young trees down - which might bite them in the backside one of these days.

I spotted that - as someone said on the CRA bb 'now there's a man who likes a good placing'. God help them lol

Piscio not sure if anyone has already responded to this (am flicking through posts in a hurry with a new labrador puppy biting my ankles) but the Rosia Montana/Gabriel issue is totally different to BPPM (and to Blueberry for that matter) - their delay is due to concerns regarding environmental problems. (and please hurry up ANRM i need to pay dog training school fees urgently!).

Drove past a development at Bicester the other day - huge! - more like a whole new town than a village. But without any shops or pubs etc as far as I could see, pretty soul-less.

NH/Babbs I'm v tempted with the VLS too - bought some a few days ago thinking cheap but it's got even cheaper lol should we be worried at the time its taking to fix the leaky plumbing though?
