Hey Sandy - likewise yours are among the postings which I still welcome and read as sane and considered - they continue to be much appreciated. I'd rather be in Bucharest than in Burnley today by the way!

Good post VM - I speak as someone who, although never posted much, liked the conference of info and opinion, stopped posting. I stopped because I really couldn't be bothered with all the meaningless repetitive negativity, often ill-researched and usually inelegantly presented. I still hold here - now more shares than ever in fact - and my eyes are open to the issues and risks as well as to the incredible potential in the assets. Let's hope that the former can be dealt with expediently so that the latter can prevail and proliferate.
I shall now return to my shell...!

I'm watching the IOG saga closely too - a few sensible lths who know both co's reckon the bid will be upped to 24p. Again, a bit red-or-black because RRE could just withdraw, but we know there's big value in those assets.

Agree - it looks suspiciosly like another of NR's 'kept in the bottom drawer for a rainy day' rms's to me, that one. Needs to do better if the wants it convincingly back over 100 and beyond.

IOG - interesting NED appointment - he wouldn't have joined if the LOG issue was looking troublesome imo...?

I haven't posted in ages here (I don't post much) but am a lth here - there's another aspect to this appointment which people may have missed - ie that it reinstills confidence as the guy is clearly very experienced with a good CV which he wouldn't want - or presumably need - to sully with a 'potential problem appointment'. He will have done a sanity check at the very least as to the bona fides of the company and its financial position, and has given it a green light. I will admit to having become a bit nervous especially re the whole LOG thing, but a l feel a lot happier now.

Looking at some of those CF fallout shares thia week I think - HZM KP2 etc

Agree on Vast Babbs - the horde is forgetting that they actually needed the Bergen money, so it has to be replaced, which in the absence of a new OT agreement will mean only one thing.... the P word (yet again). Just my view!

Pec/NH re Vast i don't really go with the 'code' thing but I wouldn't be surprised to see news re Bergen exit (hurrah!) imminently. However, in the absence of a replacement offtake agreement there will no doubt be questions over the likely cf shortfall.

I think he actually believes he is Warren Buffett. Then again he probably didn't lose Deutsche Bank 1.6billion in a single trade lol. Unreal.

I find that IG level 2 tends to be ok for general use, not too expensive though you do have to keep a certain amount in your account with them and their dealing prices can be a bit crappy. Spreadex's CFD platform gives up-to-date prices but not underlying market.
I see the 2 fat ladies slipping a bit today on that half-news this morning.

Interestong company - 19th century company (even based in an old victorian mill) making 'stuff' (eg toasters kettles and ironing boards etc) in China and flogging it wholesale it in a 21st Century worlld. But it strangely somehow seems to work rather well. 8% divvy roo.
