Luckylurker: Yes, what a great turnaround for PFD and a rising share price ! However dangers of share price rises getting ahead too much may plaque both PFD, Boo. Then it turns back down & sometimes with aggressive selling. Do you take any trading profits now or wait for more future profits ? Boo shares down 5% on results, retailer down too. I will wait to buy Boo with more share falls especially as it exceeds 50 Day Mov Avg SP. As Kallumama says PFD fundamentals look good couple of years away especially. That said, you are more likely to maximise profits by day trading but got to be lucky as well. I still think there maybe a Takeover Bid for PFD at some point. I have worked for huge foods/drinks company Diageo, General Mills & Procter & Gamble in Marketing & Sales roles. Companies were being taken over all the time and big scale economies, global footprint and top brands equity are the extremely relevant for these players. Nothing is certain with shares and companies nowadays as before ! Re: Doc Martin not for me. Can find better footwear elsewhere.

I reckon 130p to 140p is fair value PFD shares short term. Scan of retail results today makes me think so. Bricks n Mortar retailers hit by higher CoVid operating costs like Tesco up this today. Then they pay back Gov money they got last year. Sinks their overall profit. Hoping for higher sales growth & margins from PFD, marketeers spot on. Also all that company debt reduction to come. Just my opinion, DYOR & good luck to all

I prefer more brands investments to boost sales & get debt down further. A signal to seek growth outside organic sales like buy another good fit company or form partnership sales agreements will be good look. Maybe Divi payout after is icing on cake. Then but I’m just a small PI investor. The bigger investors generally do like an income stream of Divi’s.

Rich62: Absolutely Agree ! PFD Q3 Sales should outperform general retailer sales. As mostly winter mix products but loyal brands following & lockdowns pushing up sales. As Kal said 4 x Xmas sales in 1 year ! Share price should shoot higher on future house broker upgrades & more PFD news flow.

Wonder if RNS Xmas Sales update next week? They did before with record mince pie sales. Any good news improves shares sentiment. They got huge cash flows & I bet big investors will pass Monday Capital Reduction resolution . This news flow likely to edge up share price more. Although we may know about this resolution. Share price will shoot up with good news flow. That’s what is lacking at the moment.

Jed, Kal, Rich62 - I think each to their own. Some are share traders, some are keepers. I personally do both. Jed, I sold a chunk at £1.06 last time & bought back sub £1. Kal, I took the bet like you today but no way of knowing if that's the right thing to do. As Rich62 says £1.20 soon but not sure when. Monday's general meeting may have little effect on share price as Cat is out of the bag & no real surprise what the BOD want to do.

PFD stands out in the Defensive food area. Make no mistake this is a National Lockdown as highest Tier areas for most. Yet CoVid-19 vaccines are not 100% effective or proven over a longer time period. Stay at home safety theme embedded in our minds for 2021. Home cooking, sweet treats & home baking themes set to grow even more. Big positives for PFD, higher profits & food defensive high quality in demand brands. So 2021 should be catch up further on PE valuations & much much higher share price coming. Happy New Year 2021 !

Rich62: I agree that 120p is within reach and 120p-130p near term is reasonable given the PFD turnaround story. On a PFD/Sector re-rating and the potential of a Takeover Bid will see shares shoot higher still IMO. Lots to like here. Maybe announcement of the re-start to Dividends & timetable for this will fire up the shares as will a strategic fit acquisition. Merry Xmas to All.

Re: SP . Maybe Algo auto share trading. Yesterday’s PFD fall, no recovery today. Not account for news flow as we see it in real time. No worries, lag time will catch up. Solid results ahead, that’s not speculative and it’s real positive cash flows into PFD coffers !

Some Up in PFD Stakeholding for a Possible Takeover Bid looks like. Makes a lot of sense for a" Friendly Bid Now". With rock bottom interest rates, huge PFD cash flows and future sustainable profitability on its way. Also existing long term shareholders (or most shareholders) and I reckon the new management team now would back a Takeover Bid if credible, crystallising Intrinsic value for shareholders and providing it preserves UK jobs ! Premier Food Shares are Too Much Undervalued !!!

Kallumama: I agree with you that PFD Pension contributions will be lower in future due to interest rates environment but they are still large & will eventually need a cash infusion coming from somewhere. That’s likely coming from PFD Group. So it will suck some PFD cash reserves.

green555: Nissin has 19.3% PFD stake, Oasis 10%. I probably confused this with another shareholding. You’re right with the comment. Nevertheless a change in management & new company focus is the real driver here. On & Upwards with PFD Shares

PFD’s new management has 1 year successful tenure now. There is a Focus on getting debt down & in turn raising shareholder equity. That’s smart with higher brand investments too. Post Brexit, any new news on International growth acceleration will be welcomed. Ultimately this will be a Take Over Bid Target; Nissan holds a controlling stake around 26%. Great Brands are highly desirable by global foods outfits & they will pay up premium prices to clinch them.. The share price will shoot higher. I’m fully invested with some dry powder for more PFD share purchases. Yes I agree, PFD pension fund deficit is high but manageable and will suck some PFD cash in the future. Overall PFD shares are lowly valued with possible double digit brands growth near term. A Strong Buy I would say.
